Default Rodents Strike. Where's this Part From?

Hi Guys, after having a warm summer and mid fall, now it's getting chilly at night. We had a club run yesterday, I found this on the top of the C6 intake manifold, obviously chewed but concerned to know where it's come from.

That is a headlight vent valve. You had better replace that sucker, or you will have flies and other bugs inside your headlights.

I don't think that you can buy those separately, but I'm sure that forum vendor RL Sebring has a few extras that he can provide to you.
I suppose it can be patched up as well, seeing that it's well hidden behind the front end.

Good luck

Lots of other damage as well, we've put in an insurance claim.

Goodness what a nightmare. Hopefully you can get it sorted.

Good luck and if it makes you feel better you have my sympathies.

Hope your insurance company will cover. I tried with State Farm before and they wouldn't cover rodents, only wildlife. They don't consider rodents or squirrels as wildlife. Had to be a possum, raccoon, etc for it to be covered.

Hope your experience is different! Keep us posted.

It was inside, and we have a good mouse catcher but she doesn't get access to that shed.

I've been told that dryer sheets spread out on the floor around the car, keep mice away. Haven't tried it yet though.

Wow sorry to hear about your misfortune. Those mice or rats had a buffet. I would get a few cats to patrol the area

I feel for ya man. I have had rodent problems too. but so far I have been spared dealing with this kind of damage. judging by the looks of some of the damage my guess would be rats. some of the damage is larger than most mice can create. now aside from the 4 legged rodent killer there is a product that works quite well. glue traps do work. but the more fun one is the Raticator available on amazon. it shocks the holy bejesus out of them for 2 minutes. and no they dont catch on fire either. this is the one to get. there are other cheaper knock offs but get this one. it works. kills mice too.

the problem is how small of an opening they can get into. a full size rat can get in a hole the size of a quarter. a mouse can squeeze thru a 1/4 inch crack. that doesnt account for their ability to chew their way in if they desire. they are industrious little bastards.
