Forgestar - Disgust over Warranty Denial
It is very difficult for me to refrain from an all-out bashing of Forgestar, their products, and their service. But, I will do my best to share my experience and my opinion only and allow the Forum Members to make their own decision regarding a potential purchase of these wheels.
I have owned three sets of Forgestar F-14s. To have made the purchase three times, I definitely at one time believed they were a good value. Now, I have zero faith in their products and zero faith in their service.
To date, two wheels of two different sets have failed. One wheel on a C6 GS, one wheel on a Lexus IS250. Let's read those vehicles again - yep, two vehicles that are likely driven with extreme care. In this case, such an assumption would be spot on.
In both cases, Forgestar denied warranty claims stating that the cracks within the inner walls of the rims were the result of some sort of severe impact. They further claimed that a "flat spot" was measured along the edge of the wheels. Really ? Roll them on a smooth surface - no hops, skips, or jumps. Did Forgestar take their measurements utilizing a highly calibrated, sophisticated micrometer ? I have no idea - they did not say. If they did, and measured such an insignificant defect to the roundness of the wheels, that would be an incredible testament to how susceptible the wheels are to failure.
I can assure all of my Forum colleagues that neither wheel was subject to a severe impact. Sure, they have all seen some minor potholes; however, nothing of significance where one exclaims in choice four-letter expressions following hitting the car roof with one's head. I absolutely assure you. AND, neither wheel was subject to any impact that any reasonable person would believe could affect the integrity of a fairly pricey, FORGED wheel.
And, to have two wheels fail in exactly the same manner ? Come on Forgestar. All I can say is that I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with how they have handled the claims. I will positively never spend a penny on their products again. And, I will never recommend their products to anyone.
My experience. My opinion. All the best to current Forgestar owners. I hope you never experience a failure. To all considering purchasing a Forgestar product, I hope you never do.

Too bad that for the amount of money you have to spend for the product, the company won't stand behind it.

One question & one comment:
1. OP - are you the only driver of the two cars?
2. Maybe the company maintains its favorable pricing by shaving QA or warranty or both.

Ive been running a set of F14's with 345/35/18 Drag radials for 2 years now on a car making north of 1000whp, have had zero issues to date with the wheels. I have a friend that has them on car making similar power as well and he hasn't had any issues either. This is not the first failure story I have read and I will definitely keep an eye on them, but so far so good.

I find it quite amazing that companies today aren't more cognizant of just how much public media can tarnish a company/product if they don't address customers concerns. After all, as the OP states this is their 3rd set of wheels from them, so much for customer loyalty. Sadly, another company bites the dust......

I am very happy to hear of your lack of trouble. I certainly hope that remains the case. In speaking to an industry member, it seems that the inner wall failure I mention is a recurring problem with these wheels. It certainly doesn't mean that they will all fail. I have 6 wheels that haven't failed (yet).
As for being the only driver - no. But I am also not the driver for all of the other reported failures out there.
Again, I am sharing my experience. Everyone should make their own decision to purchase. I bought 3 sets. If Forgestar would have stood behind their product, I would be telling everyone a different story.

Nature of the beast, being when you are running low profile tires on the street (read pot holes), you will bend the rims. Hence less sidewall on the tire to absorb the shock, and instead it transferred to the rims instead.
Rims can be straighten for around $100, and the stronger the rim (read forged), the longer you may go before bending a rim.
Bottom line, you pulled the OEM forged rims off the car, installed cast rims, and now complaining that you are bending rims faster????
Now on the other hand, if you receive the rims bent/not concentric from the start, and they are not warranting them new, then you have a reason to be pissed isntead.
