Did a paint correction yesterday. Planned on wax/polish today, but rain interrupted the second weekend of my annual full detail. Next weekend I finish the paint, move on to using aluminum brightener on the suspension, and cleaning the wheels if rain doesn't interfere again. At this rate I might be done by summer....

Pulled the seats out & took the skins off. Sent them off to Interior Innovations as a template for the full leather skins they’re making me.

2013 Grand Sport with 13k miles and had to take passenger door apart to get at speaker. had a defect in the glue on the back cone and it sounded awful. The frame had rust in the area that the glue let go. Shoe goo works great as it is strong waterproof and yet flexible. speaker was fine otherwise. Car has seen rain twice so i know it was not from that.

Clay, compound, polish and wax. Quick interior detail.

Amazing how much better it looks.

Took the Corvette out of storage and pulled all the wheels. Cleaned the wheels and brake calipers took wheels to a tire store to have the 11 year old TPMS sensors replaced and wheels rebalanced. Installed the wheels and performed the TPMS relearn. Insurance this weekend and back on the road again for another season. It was a long ugly winter, and I hope I've seen the last of it for the rest of this year.

Finally got wax on the car. Got all set up to pull the wheels to get them and the wheel wells cleaned prior to using aluminum brightener on the suspension, and when trying to pull the first wheel off my wheel lock key snapped. End of the third week of my annual detail, and all I've accomplished so far is the paint correction and wax. This Saturday will see me at Discount Tire having the wheel locks busted off the car and new ones put in their place. After that.....who knows....

Gave her a nice bath, removed the red paint from the MSD logos on the intake, and removed the FRCs. Also tightened up all of the bolts on the intake as some were a bit loose.

Hope to really give the engine bay a good cleaning this upcoming weekend.
