Prior to doing the partition/hatch window, I had added the full interior insulation kit, filled the void in front of the rear wheels with rockwool insulation, and both those did help quiet the interior for sure. With the addition of the rear partition/hatch window cover, that definitely made it a bit more quiet. Any road noise from the rear will be tampered, and can't bounce off the rear hatch glass. Since the partition is mounted directly behind the rear speakers, that helps with the stereo sound as well.
The C6 will never be as quiet as a Cadilac, but I wanted it to be as quiet as possible for a more pleasureable road trip vehicle. We have put over 60K miles on road trips in the C6. It is such a fun car to drive, and it really is quite comfortable.

I have tail pipe envy. Would love to have the Akrapovic.

Detailed and added the black outs for rear and side markers. Not sure if they will stay on there but gotta give it a few weeks to decide if I like it or not.

Re-installed battery and took mine out of storage and gave it a short run of maybe 10 mi./ 15 km. Installed battery tender wires to battery with extension wires so I could attach the tender from the grill. Had to remember how all the audio hud etc settings work.

Slightly cheating, because I've been working step-by-step on the valve covers for a few weeks, but I finally finished it this weekend! I definitely like the clean look.

Holley valve covers, painted the coils black, and added ARP bolts.

Then I spent several hours washing, paint correcting, polishing, and waxing her Sunday.

Finished installing JOC sway bars and shocks. I got a stupid and took it for a test drive with my jack pucks still under the car. Took it for few miles and thankfully I lost only one puck.

I stopped using the stay in type jack pucks after forgetting several times to remove one or two. They wound up either damaging my rear tire and or the wheel when the stud portion went through while running over it . I only use hockey pucks now and when the jack comes down so does the puck. Expensive lesson learned.

Friday night I removed all the front brake padlets and cleaned and lubed all the backing plates. No more brake squeak.
Got up Saturday at 5:30am washed and detailed car for a local show. Finished and collapsed on garage floor wound up in ER severe dehydration and kidney stones. Guess I need to drink more water it was warm here in Florida this weekend. Missed all the fun stuff.
Today (Sunday) I have hit a milestone my 65th birthday.Wow where did that sneak up from? I need to go for a feel good ride today.

Thr c6 z06 have a little have more depth than the standard Corvette and there were no options for leave in pucks when I was looking last year. The pucks that I bought had stems that were to short,so I had to ad washers to fit. I just saw they have billet Jack pad adapters that bolt in. I just order it last night and will see how the fit. Thanks ontime definetly have some pucks on my Jack's.
