Tuned with SCT tuner from RDP today, ordered new convertible top, Eagle Eye rear lights, new pioneer radio, parking light switchbacks, and LED fog lights. Now to find some time to start installing as things come in.

Oil change. Installed an oil catch can. Got bored and put some LED lights in the nose and tidied up the wiring in loom. Probably going to take lights out I'm not liking it.

Decided it was now, or much later, since the weather is predicted to turn to crap again.

So, I pulled out all the dryer sheets, pulled the socks out of the exhaust tips, unhooked the maintainer, and flamed it up. It started like it had never been asleep. Then, I drove it for an hour, north up one of the highways. What a treat!

Also, before any of this, I painted the butt-ugly license plate holder to match (almost) Torch Red (don't trust Dupli Color to be an exact match, BTW). Now, IMHO, it's not quite so butt-ugly. I'm waiting for it to warm up so that I can repair the holes in the bumper, and install the Top Flight removable holder. And the ZR1 splitter. And so on

And, since it didn't happen if there are no pics:

Notice how everything is still brown and dead. Come on spring!

The 'improved' license plate holder.

Yup, nice day today, so, I fired it up and took a ride. Started perfectly and ran like a dream. My Vettes been sleeping for 4 months or so. It's an 07', 3LT with Z-51, auto. It's got 52,000 happy miles on it. Can't wait until it's really nice so I can wash and detail it. It's a pleasant thought of better weather to come. I love my C6!

Today I pulled the wheels, cleaned the wheel wells, washed, scrubbed, and polished the tires and wheels (they were in awful shape). After spending six hours (yes six!!) doing all of that, I decided it was time for a few cold ones. Tomorrow is another coat of wax, and I tackle the interior, trunk, and under the hood.

Had a new neighbor stop by when I was almost finished and compliment me on the car. It's always nice to have neighbors who appreciate the finer things in life.

First proper driving after 5weeks ownership all spent on repairs.

Then this week leather bezel, fixes loads of little issues and blown fuses. Just off for another long drive but can't wait for the replacement tyres in the hope of getting rid of the horrendous tramlining.

Changed the CR2032 H batteries in my remotes after a near fail at a family Easter brunch on my first day out of storage, and the first day they saw the car. Luckily I quickly remembered the remote pocket in the glovebox trick or I would never be able to live it down! That was CR2032 H for my 2012.

Took the top off, cranked up the stereo, and enjoyed an hour long cruise. Sunny and 80 degrees, did some highway miles, some back roads, and some no traffic because it's a holiday local street driving!

Well I'm glad I didn't take the Vette to lunch today (it's still hibernating).

I wish *I* didn't go to lunch today.

I'm coming home around 1:00 in my 2017 pickup, with 6300 miles on it, and about a mile from home a deer jumps right out in front of me. I didn't get hurt at all, but her life ended very quickly.

Oh well.
