Is any one happy with their C6 just as it is?
I see all these post with mods and stories of how working on this upgrade and that, chrome thingy and superchargers and exhaust changes and interior changes, brakes and rotors , oil and lubricants and paint corrections and just stuff that cost good money. Are any of you guys just happy with your C6 as a stock condition Corvette that you just drive and enjoy its factory condition? Wash , Wax and Drive is my path - how about you?

No, I have the Mod fever pretty bad. It all started with just one mod then I was hooked.

YEP!
I am done with hot rods that you have to tinker with and constantly fool with various whatevers.
Go to the garage, open the door then drive off. Car is plenty fast gets lots of looks and a blast to drive.

^Because that's the way it's always been? You answered your own question, "pretty well done" is not perfect. And even if they were perfect, everyone wouldn't agree.

Yea -- but most of the mods guys do remind me of a once beautiful woman that got a lip injection and a boob job, she might think it looks good but it really looks like crap...

I like driving my C6, but because of the forum, there are so many threads about mods, whether mechanical or appearance, that if you see something you like, then it's hard not to get excited about it and try it out.
I've just gone mostly appearance, but have done a few other mods like the OEM exhaust mod, lowered the car, installed mud guards, etc.
The first thing mods I did was add body color enhancements to the engine bay, including the covers for fuse box, alternator, brake booster, power steering, coolant reservoir and FRC's. I also replaced the OEM coolant hoses with silicone. On the interior, changed the leather accessories to yellow stitching including the steering wheel and added a coupe partition.
It can become addictive and costly for sure. I would also be just as happy if I had left everything OEM and not done anything. Just driving the C6, enjoying it on road trips is how I enjoy ownership the best.
I don't put my car in shows, or in show & shines, so no one really sees my engine bay but me.
I think #10 of the Corvette Commandments says it best!

I only take the top off once or twice per summer, don't like wind blowing on me after riding bikes for 45 years, and don't like loud exhaust anymore either. It's the first vehicle I've ever owned with climate control, and I love it.
An LS2 pushing a 3200 lb. car is fast enough for anything I want to do. Yes, I am that old man tooling around in a stock Vette that I laughed at 50 years ago. **
* not 100% stock since I put a padded console cover on it, lol.

Burning Brakes
I'm not big on cosmetic mods as most of them are tacky...but I do like to get more power out of it, and that factory exhaust was just too benign so I went with something with slightly more rumble.

There are sure a lot of opinions on the subject. I don't chase HP mods anymore but I still enjoy changing the looks of pretty much anything I own.
I was really into art when I was growing up (oils, acrylics, chalk etc..) and enjoyed putting on canvas pretty much whatever I could imagine. It just naturally translated into modding the appearance of my vehicles. I guess you could call it another creative outlet.
Heck I remodel/change the rooms in my house too. Nothing ever stays stock.
I just can't help it.

Melting Slicks
I am satisfied with mine....it runs great...great cruising mileage..compared to my C2....enough power to play at the drags with and not hurt anything.....fun to road course it...it gets compliments on its looks and after 4 yrs it has not given me one problem...well...ok except for the tires..that hopefully will last though this year and be replaced next spring.

Mine's too old to change now.
All I can hope to do is keep up with the creaks.

Aside from a Ferrari or Lamborghini, there aren't many vehicles on the market that I would leave alone lol. There's always something that I'd want to do to it. Even if it's something as minor as smoking the corner lights. Corvette's though are practically limitless on what you can to do it and there's sooooooo much that can be done.... my current car alone I want longtubes, x pipe, CAI, wheels, side skirts, rear spoiler, splitter, and window tint. I'm not asking for much but haha.... but that's part of the fun, modding something and making it your own.
