I have this kit and I can tell you it DOES NOT FIT a stock 08 hood!!!!
1) It hits the Stock coil covers
2) The tray hits the TB

Bottomline, you can't move it forward period. Z06 hood maybe as it has larger rise compared to the stock hood.

My body shop guy talked to ACS and they said I had the wrong kit. So, I ordered part #22828242 and low and behold it is the same thing that is in the kit. Come to find out the documentation was wrong. They had the Camaro kit number in the doc. I am 3 weeks into this and all I have is big *** hole in the hood and the body shop guy trying to fix it. I bought it used (NIB) so the issue is mine. All ACS says that they will have their engineers look at it.

Code:
New Hood Conversion System for C6 Corvettes

Innovation is key to the ethos of ACS and even when existing products are of a high standard we don’t rest until we know that we have done our best to fulfil our commitment to style, synergy, functionality and product design. These elements come together in our new hood conversion system for the C6 Corvette Hood.

ACS C6 Corvette 4Teen Hood Conversion Kit, Pn 27-4-035

Kit includes:

1 - Genuine GM SS Hood Extractor insert painted Satin Black
1 - ACS 4Teen Water Tray
1 - C6 Outer Hood Trimming Template
6 - M6 Nut with Mounted Washer
Instructions
Application Guide

C6 Corvette 2005-2013
C6 Grand Sport 2010-13
C6 Z06 2008-13
It does fit but you need to make few adjustments to the kit.

Is it just the the top part of this vent that hits the engine? Or is it just the drip pan that is causing the obstructiom? I dont see anyone in prior pics using a drip try.

I didn't know there was a difference in Z06 and base model C6 hoods?

I dunno man, I have it on my 08 base and don't have clearance issues.

However I don't have the drip tray, maybe that's where your problem is.

My car is LS2 with Fast 102 manifold that is taller than stock manifold plus fuel rail covers that fit with a little trimming.I also have the factory underhood insulation installed.the install is nice and neat and looks factory.you would really have to be looking to notice my fuel rail covers had been modified when I open my hood

There’s the hood braces plus allowing more dirt, dust, and rain into the engine compartment. I like how GM installed weather stripping around the hood seams to help seal the area, and thought it interesting how you saw a drop in temps by keeping the hood closed.

minimal amounts of anything get in and depending on your location of vent you wont need to cut brace.have a look at ZL1 Camaro.GM obviously thinks that they don't need a drip tray or anything else to protect from environment.

OBTW - Finally solved the problem and got it installed with the tray. Not sure what the body guy did. But, he did a nice job on where the hood support was cut out.

So, now I have an EXTRA hood insert for sale.

So the water drains just in front of motor it looks like.
Looks nice and clean just don't really get how it cools the engine bay.
