Interior lights color.
I have not done much in the way of changing my 2010 GS.
I have a NPP over ride and a cover in the hatch.
I like it as it is.
But I would like to change the Interior lights color.
I was thinking of red for the cabin and blue for the hatch.
Do I change the bulbs or paint the bulbs.
Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks, Kliph

I agree with ryb0, search eBay. There are tons of colors and options on there for fairly cheap. I bought a complete set of LEDs off eBay. Not hard to swap out at all. Took me about 20-25 minutes to do all of the interior lights(including rear hatch) and license plate bulbs as well.

I used red in my red interior. The foot well LED's were not bright enough to suit me so I added a foot long LED strip on each side, and soldered the leads to the foot well LED's.

I put blue LEDs in the foot wells, did white in map and cargo area.
You need ones with led's on the sides for the footwell or else they aren't that bright, LED bulbs are highly directional and the footwell holders are not great at aiming the light.

//From a previous post, about changing the ambient LED light. I did mine in blue, and just love it.
I used Radio Shack p/n 040293113520 (at least that's the number on the package bar code) but you could use others. This package says:
5mm
Red LED
1.7v
20 mA
3000mcd
MCD is the brightness rating. Get a higher mcd rating if you can find one.
Remove one screw that holds the visor bracket.
Once that's out, remove one more screw on the back that holds the LED in place.
Turn on the lights before you unplug the 2 wires to see how bright the original LED is just for comparison.
You'll have to cut the 2 leads on the new LED to match the old one.
Move the wires to the new LED. If it doesn't light, reverse them.
Replace the LED retention bracket and reinstall the visor bracket.
