Corvette C6 Glass roof question

Corvette C6 Glass roof question
Is it possible to use the hardware from the stock roof and just switch it onto the glass roof? The car is a 2005 c6 but the glass roof does not have any hardware at all. Would it be possible to use the glass roof with the hardware from the base?

i think they should interchange
Just be careful gm swapped a ton of roofs in the 2008ish era and when they did you got a new roof but they swapped hardware. I see used roofs with no hardware and you can almost be assured it's the old warranty roof someone kept or dug out of the scrap pile.

There may be some slight differences between the two tops due to manufacturing tolerances, so you may need to adjust the rear latch on the roof or the front locators in the windshield frame.

Melting Slicks
Yes completely interchangeable although there may be some physical difference between front latches between the two version.
Early year model latches had rollers where the latch contacts the striker. Later versions of the front latch when to a fixed slider.

A CF member came up with what's called the "E-clip fix", you slip one or possibly two clips onto the shaft, which keeps the roller from sliding back & forth and eliminates the noise for most people.
A Search in C6 General will find the details.
