My First Drag Race
Actually, not exactly my first, but my first since 1964 and the first with my 2013 GS A6.
The car is entirely stock with the possible exception of the NPP exhaust which I ran open. The street tires were inflated a few weeks ago to 30 PSI cold and I did not adjust them for the race. The below race slips tell me that my reaction time was improving dramatically, but I definitely need to stop spinning so much rubber at the starting line. Next time I race, I'll deflate my tires to 25 PSI warm. Other than that, I have no plans to make any mods to the car to improve my race times/speeds.

not bad times, but certainly room for improvement and you'll have fun getting there. Leave air pressure around 28-30 for stock run flats, won't make much difference. Work on launching easier to reduce tire spin and then rolling into the gas quickly off the line.
I dropped my times from consistent 12.5 to 12.17 with my completely stock 2008 A6 with Goodyear run flats, but I'm in Dallas and elevation is 500ft and temps were 70's.
Also, if you have not tried already, run with 1/4 tank or less. That also made a huge difference for me.
My car is stock and will stay that way, not into modding it, but I may try some drag radials to get it down to the 11's just for kicks.
Have fun!

Me too - Not expecting much in performance for a few months. I reloaded my factory tune about 4 weeks ago. Just idling through Hades.

He will get there, just takes some practice.
Some good launching advice on the forum.
My car bone stock, tires at full psi, ran 12.49@115.
That happened the second time i went to the track.

No offense to the OP, but a C-6 should be turning at worst in the low 13's, and thats with a relatively inexperienced driver at the helm. A stock C-6 should be turning in the high to mid 12's with all things being "normal" and an experienced driver ....

Looks like you had a great time with your car. Good for you. I will say this and all in fun the first reaction time was an asleep at the wheel moment. Supercharger next???? I gave up drag racing a few years back after several decades of hard launches and never being home on weekends. I have been tempted to run my '13 GS but it wouldn't be the same for me. I do want to try a road course. Good luck and glad you are taking it to the track and not the street.

C6 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019
Considering that the DA was in the 5400' range and your 60' launch time was fairly slow from spinning, I think you did OK. If you correct the second run to 0 DA, it would be 12.8x @ 115. I've never been able to run 10's there at that elevation, but can in Phoenix.
