Default 2008 Indy Pace Car-Good price

Hello all, looking to venture into a C6 from a C4 I used to have. It is a 08 Indy Pace Car Edition, with the Fittipaldi Signature, embroidered seats, etc. No stickers. It is black with 33K on the clock. The dealer wants $31,586 for it. It is really in perfect condition with no scratches on it, and the tires in good condition. It is a one owner car, driven by an older gent.

If this sounds like a fair price I will probably pull the trigger. It is an Automatic, by the way.

Not sure if it has the Dual mode exhaust, which I really wanted. How can I tell by the VIN?

Thanks in advance.

Can't tell by the VIN if it has Dual Mode Exhaust, need the RPO codes or else take a look just above the tips for valve mechanism.

Price seems "fair" for what it is, especially a Vette in the summer, but you could also check the pricing sites like KBB, Black Book, or NADA to find accurate values.

I don't think you can tell by the vin but you can definitely tell by the sticker of the rpo codes in the glove box. My guess is a car of that stature would have it.

Thanks for the info. From what I have seen online, it is difficult to find the Indy Pace Car designation. The price seemed fair. I may try to whittle down a bit, but the car is really in perfect shape, so it may be worth it. Thanks again to all, and if there is anymore advice, I would be glad to hear it.

I'd check prices in KBB, Edmonds and Auto Trader in your zip code and if it's a fair price and you like it, go for it!

They all had the dual mode exhaust and Emmo signed and numbered each one on the underside of the center console lid. Also chrome Q9V Gumby wheels and the taller Z06 spoiler.

Thanks Gents, I am new to the C6 world, and hopefully in the next two hours I will have my first C6!! I do wrench on my own cars, so am familiar with mechanics, but will be on this forum for many hours learning about my new car.

Hope you get the car! One of your best "friends" on this site will be "Advanced Search" wherein you can plug any word, key word, or several words, limit it to "C6 Gen" of "C6 Tech" and hit the 'enter' button. The wealth of info, updated and seemingly outdated (but not outdated, just from several/many years ago) will amaze you. It will also inform you, some with pics, and some very detailed.

Good luck and good driving!

Beautiful! Now get us a pic of Fittipaldi's signature and number on the underside of the console lid...it is obviously a 500 car.

I purchased #406 of 500 in Nov. Had 1500 miles on it. paid 30 K no decals but had the dealer order them. $2K for the decals. That is what sets it off from any black vette it has the Z51 package and the dual exhaust. go to the Corvette museum website, you can obtain all the paperwork for your vin # The original owner had all window stickers and everything for the car i purchased. PM me I will send you a copy of the window sticker. I believe all of them came with the 3LT package as well

Wow jshot00, you only paid $30K for a 2008 Indy with only 1,500 miles on the clock? That is an amazing deal. I paid around $30K for 33K miles. They must have taken off the stickers on mine when they got it. Yours really stands out with the stickers. Very nice.
I will take a pic of my signature and # soon.

Have bought several cars from this dealership from the same salesman. The guy that traded it in only got 30K for it!! oh and it has 5500 on it now!

Just depends on what you want! Pay 30k down on a used C7 and still owe $$ for a car that thousands of people have or 30k and have a clear title and a car that less than 500 people have! Assuming that some of the original 500 are no longer on the road
