Bought my 07 in February. Came with Sumitomo HTR ZIII on it. Good traction for daily driving. Pretty inexpensive on Tire Rack when I checked.

There was a new set of Cooper Zeon RS-3 on my '13 GS when I bought it. I'm sure the seller put them on as one of the cheapest in GS size just to have new rubber to sell the car. I was fully prepared to hate them. I've been pretty pleased with them so far. I've pulled well over 1 G in the twisties. They are reasonably quiet, resist tramlining and so far seem to be wearing well at 5,000 miles. I did get a lot of wheel spin the last time I did a drag launch from a red light but they were cold, get them warmed up and they bite pretty well.

I'll probably go with something more $$$ when I replace them but sounds like these would be a good choice for the OP. I've also used the Conti Extreme Contact DW (not DWS) and was very happy with them on my 350Z.

I had these on my 07 got the car realigned and got 30,000+ miles out of them.. Great tire..

OK.....after almost 50 years of hot-rodding and self repair on all my vehicles I have never heard the term "Tramlining"---?? Is this some new term that we feel we've had to come up with for some other old term that describes a car that wants to "Wallow all over the place...LOL". Or am I just too old...?.....EEK. Inquiring minds want to know.....

Another vote for Conti DWS06 if you want all-season tires.

Continental DW and/or DWS seems to have more "votes".

Not sure where the term came from, but it is a tendency for the tires to follow grooves or depressions in the pavement rather than just go straight ahead as pointed.

It'll sit in the garage on a float charger for weeks at a time, sometimes longer.

As you can see in my signature, I have several old cars that occupy a lot of my time..... and use up a LOT of my play money.
A consensus - LOL - that's a good one. Got to take the opportunity to laugh when it presents itself.

I will toss in the Sumitomo HTR-Z. They are very reasonably priced, handle well, provide decent wet traction, and are a very soft rubber so they corner well...however, the flip side of that is the poor wear quality. I have run them on several other performance cars (Turbo TransAm, 3000GT VR4 etc) and will be putting a full set on this beastie in the next few weeks. At $650 a full set, it is hard not to justify breaking them loose for the fun of it vs twice that on some other tire. ...nomex undies installed, let the flames begin

07 z51 coupe. replaced goodyears with Dunlop Direnzza DZ102. Car runs smooth, quiet and sticks like glue on dry roads. Never driven in rain. Be careful when tires are cold on a 30-degree day slippery til warm!

Hankook Ventus for me to replace the GY run flats. The ride is night and day difference. No more run flats in my future.

Hey Chuck...since you already bought, my vote doesn't count, but, I along with our Vette club members went with Conti's also!

Finally a vote for the Hankooks, I'm on Nitto Invos at present but they are showing a little cracking and on a car with no spare I'm getting nervous, they have about 11,000 mi and year 2012, and tread is acceptable but I don't mess around when it comes to brakes or tires. So they are definitely in the near future and leaning to the Ventus Evo 2, they are getting pretty good reviews also

My new "tars" came today. Ordered on Sunday, shipped from Savannah Georgia on Monday, at my door in Florida at 4 o'clock Tuesday.

I've got to call my installation guy tomorrow and set up an appointment for mounting and balancing. Also having a 4 wheel alignment and an oil change. Maybe Thursday, maybe Friday, maybe next week.

I'll report back on the ride quality.

The tires are installed. I really like them.

There's much less road noise in the cockpit, and they ride much smoother.

No more "ka-pock", "ka-pock", while riding over every seam in the road.

FWIW, I'm happy with my choice.

Good choice Chuck...anything's better than those Goodyear Runcraps!
