I'll probably go with something more $$$ when I replace them but sounds like these would be a good choice for the OP. I've also used the Conti Extreme Contact DW (not DWS) and was very happy with them on my 350Z.

i didnt read your entire post, so since your not as concerned with performance ill vote for the continental extreme contact dws that i have. the highway ride is super smooth and quiet and they are $153 and $255 on tire rack right now. my only complaint is they squirm around but sounds like that shouldn't be a problem for you.

OK.....after almost 50 years of hot-rodding and self repair on all my vehicles I have never heard the term "Tramlining"---?? Is this some new term that we feel we've had to come up with for some other old term that describes a car that wants to "Wallow all over the place...LOL". Or am I just too old...?.....EEK. Inquiring minds want to know.....

Another vote for Conti DWS06 if you want all-season tires.

LOTS of different opinions. I was hoping for a consensus.
This Corvette is what I call my "Corvette Club car". It gets driven to "eat and rides" and other Corvette Club functions. It's not a show car, but if my club is going to a show, I'll enter it.
It'll sit in the garage on a float charger for weeks at a time, sometimes longer.
As you can see in my signature, I have several old cars that occupy a lot of my time..... and use up a LOT of my play money.

Yea...I understand what it is. I've just never heard it called Tramiling before. Its not rocket science.....just take your 10 speed bike out and run over a few of the grates over the sewers....explanation done....LOL

I will toss in the Sumitomo HTR-Z. They are very reasonably priced, handle well, provide decent wet traction, and are a very soft rubber so they corner well...however, the flip side of that is the poor wear quality. I have run them on several other performance cars (Turbo TransAm, 3000GT VR4 etc) and will be putting a full set on this beastie in the next few weeks. At $650 a full set, it is hard not to justify breaking them loose for the fun of it vs twice that on some other tire. ...nomex undies installed, let the flames begin

07 z51 coupe. replaced goodyears with Dunlop Direnzza DZ102. Car runs smooth, quiet and sticks like glue on dry roads. Never driven in rain. Be careful when tires are cold on a 30-degree day slippery til warm!

My new "tars" came today. Ordered on Sunday, shipped from Savannah Georgia on Monday, at my door in Florida at 4 o'clock Tuesday.
I've got to call my installation guy tomorrow and set up an appointment for mounting and balancing. Also having a 4 wheel alignment and an oil change. Maybe Thursday, maybe Friday, maybe next week.
I'll report back on the ride quality.

There's much less road noise in the cockpit, and they ride much smoother.
No more "ka-pock", "ka-pock", while riding over every seam in the road.
FWIW, I'm happy with my choice.
