Gorilla wheel guards
There's been a spate of wheel thefts in my area recently. My neighbor lost her Jeep spare wheel, and someone stole all 4 wheels off a Hellcat and left it on blocks, in broad daylight.
Thinking of getting a set of Gorilla wheel guards. Seems like cheap insurance.
Any input please.

Those don't really slow them down for long.

While i do have guards on all lugs. I see them as delay tactic, to keep honest people honest.
Has been my experience that a thief wants they will get it! (Take car to get wheels)

ya I'm sure no one would notice a guy in the dark with a hand sledge just beating the **** out of the removal tool to get it to catch so they can take it off, I had a local shop take just 2 off my car they broke 3 tools in the process, ya your right they probably don't work.

So, is there a viable solution, other than armed guards 24/7

I have Gorilla lug nuts Part # 71633N on mine. They match the factory lugs. You are right it is cheap insurance. Gorilla claims to have many different key combinations that make it difficult for the bad guy to have the right key for your set....nothing is 100 percent and what locking lugs really do is make taking your wheels/tires hard enough that the thief looks for an easier set to steal. The Gorilla lugs have held up well with no chrome flaking or rust showing.

tabing - While it may not be much comfort you should know that the Jeep spare wheel thing is stupid common. They get stolen all the time. I have Jeeps and see people complaining about it on the FB pages.
If they want something bad enough they are going to get it.

suprcharged:
Part # 71633N
So this is lugnuts on al five bolts (sic). Looks like a better solution than just one per wheel.
