Nothing speciall
I don't think there is anything special to look for on a 13 GS. They have most of the bugs and squeaks worked out by the end of the C6 run.Just the usual things, tires, fluids been changed/maintained, of course a car fax and run the VIN thru a Dealer and get the history of the car. Good Luck

The only thing that you may want to check is the condition of the balancer. Take a flashlight and check to make sure it isn't wobbling. Chances are it will be fine if the car has low mileage. My 13 GS has 31,000 miles and no wobble. Good Luck.

C6 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
I believe that you look at the same things you would look for on any used car.

As a condition to considering this car request a GMVIS printout & read it before you even test drive.
GMVIS details everything done to the car under its original B2B, and any other service performed at a GM dealer. Learn what the car's history has been disregarding recall items like fuse box rewire etc.
Once things were fixed under warranty it's a safe bet they'd probably not happen again in the near future & why learning of repeated issues is so important when considering a preowned C6 before you sign.
But, if there's documentation for repeated issue, there's all you need to know. Move-on to another C6. IMO if Chevrolet can't fix a problem, no one else will either.

Check the condition of the tires, they are very expensive and some GSs will eat tires in less than 10k if the allignment is not right. The harmonic balancer should also be checked, as mentioned before. Good luck, I love my GS !

Make sure the AC works properly and that all of the seat controls and seat heaters work. My 2013 GS, a Certified preowned with only 7k miles and all the boxes checked on the paperwork had those issues, which the dealer promptly corrected. No issues in 10k miles and 17 months since.

What are some signs that the balancer is going or needs to be replaced? Is that not covered on the power train portion of the warranty after the B2B exp?

The outside could look good and have tread left, while the inside in down to the wear bars or even cords.

Check out the rear inner wheel wells, for signs of hot rubber spun up in there from burn outs...
Put on a rack and check the undercarriage for signs of scraping (to the point of having done damage). I didn't do this, but if you can wouldn't hurt...

Burning Brakes
I agree that most of the bugs are worked out of 2013 C6's. I would look at the clutch fluid reservoir to see how filthy the fluid is (it will need attention most likely). If it has the factory GoodYear tires, they are horrible tires & should be changed out w/some Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Brake pads will need attention. If the pads are OEM then you will have red wheels from the brake dust. That's about it that I can think of for "problem areas" on the 2013 GS. (I addressed the PCV oiling issues using a baffled oil catch-can on my GS. Most people don't see this as an issue though.
