Engine noise ~ 2500 RPM when accelerating
Hello all,
So i have an 05 6 speed manual and it has a noise around 2500 RPMs while in gear and accelerating. It sounds like a ticking/tapping/clicking noise - Almost like it is low on oil maybe but i have checked it and its fine. The car seems to run great too.
I notice it during normal shifts and if i stay in 1st/2nd/3rd gear and maintain a set speed i can get it to make the noise on demand but as soon as i let off of the gas it stops. It happens for around a few hundred RPMs then it will go away once i am out of the 2300-2700 RPM zone.
If i accelerate with the gas pedal around 3/4 of the way down or faster, i don't hear the noise. It only seems to happen when i am from 20-75% of full throttle.
I did find a youtube video that had a similar noise i hear except the youtube video has the noise for a lot longer than i hear it.
Any ideas what this is?
