I think that they really cheapen the look of the car not to mention that they look like they would hold in heat.

Nothing compares with caliper cover except maybe mud flaps and neon.

Did you miss the point?
The idea is no one here should discourage someone to put something on their car based on their thoughts. Many people in this forum give their thoughts so positively & sometimes so directly that if I didn't know better, I would think they are all Mechanics and I would think they know better than a certified mechanic. I usually read this forum quite closely but to be swayed by opinion is ridiculous. There could be 500 guys on here who have their idea of brake covers being terrible looking and 10 that like them but why let the public decide what you like? Another thing I see a lot of is the subtle rude comments to people like the one you made to me about "did you miss the title"? You needed to express it that way?
Oh by the way- I think yours look much worse than the Aluminum Painted or Powder coated covers but then just my opinion since we are going to throw it out there. Oh and I don't have any covers- mine are stock.

Like you, I don't understand people who throw out opinions when an opinion was not asked for. It happens often here and I don't like it either. I only showed that photo of my calipers because a previous poster mentioned that the paint may wear off quickly.
Mine are painted and are still fine after a couple of years.
By the way, unlike the original poster of this thread, I did not ask for your opinion of my calipers. You may want to take your own advice.

Burning Brakes
They were on the car when I bought it, I thought it would bug me seeing but they kinda grew on me. Originals look like crap and I'm not spending $2,000.00 + on upgrades. But that's just my opinion

[QUOTE=HBsurfer;1593058548]You are free to look at every comment I have ever made here and you will not find one time where I have given my opinion unless an opinion was specifically asked for, which the original poster did here. He/she asked what we thought of the covers. I contributed by giving my opinion.

I'd guess that covers would result in warmer calipers, since they restrict airflow, but I'd also guess the people who have them don't play real hard.

Due to the shape and size of the covers it appears to me that they are trying to imitate Z-06 brake calipers. Anyone that is familiar with the C-6 Corvette will immediately recognize these cheap imitations. If you want to inhanse the look of your calipers either paint them or powder coat them. Don't install cheap covers. Just my personal opinion.

Why don't you just spend ~$30 and get some brake caliper paint. Its easy to do, and done right, it will last for several years, plus they will look a lot better than covers
