Price Check on Coupe with Z51
I'm advertising this car for sale here and elsewhere for local sale in Missouri.
But what I mostly am looking for here is for comments on the price. Reasonable? Too high/low?
2009 LS3 Corvette Jetstream Blue Metallic Tintcoat
1LT equipment pkg, MN6 manual tranny, Z51 Package, Forged Chrome Aluminum Wheels, 39,000 miles. Never driven in snow, saw rain 1 to 3 times total!
Excellent maintenance, top-drawer synthetic oils.
Mods:
Crane Cams "Platinum" Pro-Series Stud Mount Rockers. LS3 1.8 Ratio Rocker Arm Kit; Melrose Smooth Flow ceramic coated 1 7/8" primary long tube headers;
Stainless steel high flow catalytic converter and x-pipe. PCM Tune. Halltech's Beehive Heat Shield. Donaldson PowerCore ZR1 air filter; Doug Rippie Motorsports Valved Bilstein shocks; Poly sway bar bushings; C6 Front Chrome Grille Mesh Screen. 2009 Y-Car (Corvette) GM Shop Manual 4 volume set.
Asking $29,975

This may come across as harsh, but since you asked...
Just a quick search on that car selling website shows there are several with similar miles at DEALERS listed lower than your price. And that's just their ASKING price.
1LT is definitely a deal breaker for many buyers.
The mods detract from the value.
JS Blue won't attract as many buyers as red, black, etc.
$23k

Don't expect all those mods to add to the value. Other than the shocks, they would be a deduct-for to many buyers. If you like them, more power to you, but don't pay extra for them. 1LT is certainly a less than desirable package.
I meant less than desirable for most people. There are certainly people who would rather have a 1LT out there.

i think you are high, spring time asking price around $27,5 or $28 but this time of year, most buyers are looking for a deal, so most are close at $23. I would ask around $27,5 / $28 and hope to get somewhere around $24,5 or $25.

I agree with the others, that car is a $26K car around here. Lots of buyers won't even consider a 1LT car. The money spent on the modifications was gone the day you spent it. You never get paid back for that stuff. And this is coming from a guy with $15G's of mods done to mine...

Most folks who buy Corvettes want all the bells and whistles they can get. There are a few who don't care about all the extra's. In my opinion, the 1LT hurts it more than anything. Also, add $5 because its only been in rain between 1 and 3 times... The other mods basically add nothing to the price of the car. My guess is $23-$25k.

This cars looks like a track day weapon in the making, that's how you could get more out of your mods, someone on the same thinking plane as you. A potential car buyer that wants a Sunday toy or a long trip car will pass on yours unfortunately. I think that the more we mod a car, the smaller your potential buyer audience becomes

That is WAY too high of a price for a 1LT. I paid around that for my 3LT 08 vert w/Z51, and it had only 28k miles.
Keep looking.

I JUST bought (this week), a 2007 Coupe, 6M, 1LT (I would suspect), Atomic Orange with 26900 miles, one owner, in LIKE NEW condition, not a mark on it...not even a stone chip or bug imprint. NEW front Run flats in July, original rears in GREAT shape, New battery in Aug....He was asking 25500. I got it for 22300. I don't know how people feel about the price, BUT I FEEL VERY GOOD about my purchase! I love the car and the color. Just a REAL world sale/price. oh...NO Mods other than a few chrome "add ons". Bob
PS, how can I find out what "options" came on the car?

one thing about car forums (I don't care if it's mustangs, corvettes, or german cars)
People think your car is worth less than theirs... People will always tell you it's worth $23k but won't find somebody in the for sale willing to sell that car for $23k.

Those tires are far from being in "great shape" as they are nine years old. They are an accident waiting to happen, and you should replace them ASAP.
Look at the RPO sticker on your glove box door.

I just traded my 2011 2lt with 14k miles in. Dealer gave me 28,250 for it and it was put on the lot for 31,900.

Sounds very high to me especially with all the mods. Mods might make the current owner happy but they deduct from resale price unless you can find a buyer who wants exactly those options. Dealerships tend to just send modified cars straight to auction.

To quote a commenter on another web site: If a performance car needs a shot load of nanny computers for you to drive/control it then what is the point? A corvette (if optioned correctly) and not loaded out with the Starbucks options is a total drivers car. The C6 is peak corvette.

I picked up a very clean 2008 1LT Z51 in Kansas City about two months ago. The only mod was an intake, but I think it's still fair to make a comparison.
40k on the odometer and I paid $27k. I see everyone is saying these are $23k cars, but I certainly couldn't find a nice one with that price point around here. And I looked for quite some time. I wasn't as concerned about trim package as I tend to replace all of the electronics etc.
Good luck with your sale.
