Default What is the value of this 2008 3LT, Z51

I found this one locally. I have looked at kbb, nada, and completed ebay auctions, but before I make an offer I would like to run this by you folks and see what you think.

2008, 3LT, Z51, , slightly less than 30K miles
Options are chrome wheels (split spokes)
6 speed auto with paddles
NAV
Dual roof
Dual mode exhaust
and the foremetioned Z51

I haven't seen the car, but it looks like it is in showroom shape. Not sure about tire wear.
I don't mind paying a bit of a premium since the car is local and wouldn't involve travel expense to travel to it, but want to offer a fair price.

Thanks
CB

Dealer or private? what part of the country? what color? what are the condition of the tires?

assuming: Private party, northern climate, good tires, desirable color.
$27,250 ~ $29,5.

Here is how I came up with that.
My car was a fair deal (2008 3lt /w 36k miles (I think)) that I paid 29k in april of 2015

car has the z51 +1000
car has nav +500
car has roughly 10k less miles +1000
car has dual roof +1000

car is for sale in end of September -7%
sale taking place 1 year later -10%

$29,000 + $3500 = $32,500 (April 2008 price) - 10% (depreciation this year) & 7% for late september = $27,250 ~ $29,500

I paid $31k for my 08 vert with the same options, but a couple thousand miles less on the odometer.

did you buy from a dealership or private? convertibles do carry about 10% more value than hard tops, so $31k is about what I would guess given your in the south (year round driving), convertible, and lower miles.

I bought my '08 Z51 late summer of 2015 for $31K. It had 12K miles and about $25K in very tasteful mods included. Honestly I felt like I stole the thing.

I had to travel from TX to IL to get that price as the same car would have brought another $4-5K here in TX easy.

I would think whatever you pay is fair to you. I bought a 08 Indy 500 Pace car replica which has the 3LT and Z51 with only 1500 miles (yes 1 5 0 0) for $30K last November!

I think that's a fair range for pricing. You may need to do some things to the car upon driving it home but you know that already.

When I bought my 2008 3lt z51 in 2012..they ask for $30...I told them I had cash money and got it for $27K with 50k miles on it.
This sounds correct to me BUT it's 8 years old..I honestly think you could get them to cut you a better deal do to age. You have to treat them how they do us. They never want to acknowledge the real value so work them...use the car's age and tell them you have cash...get your money 1st and that way you are in control of the entire situation! Happy Dealing! But never cheat yourself! You WILL KNOW when it's right for you! Just a feeling you get of NOT being screwed over!

one thing to remember is that 2012 was a different economy than 2015/2016. The 'toy' market has increased significantly over the previous 4 years. What I mean is that 2012 everybody was still licking their wounds from 2009~2010 when they were selling cars for ALOT less than 2007~2008 before we entered the recession. So your $30k car was likely worth $30k every year even as you put miles and years on it because the toy market kept appreciating.

Look at the porsche / classic car market over the last 3 years, some cars have seen 10~20% annual price increases. A porsche 911SC was a 12k car in early 2000, a 15k~ 18k car in 2012, and now can easily sell for over 30k. The tide rises all ships. (IE, i can't wait until the pcar bubble pops and I can pick up one for a wife approved price in the future)

I just bought a fully loaded 08 Convertible with Nav, NPP, Z51, 3LT. 53K miles. I paid 27,900 but there was a trade involved, my 2003 Convertible for which He gave me $21,000. The bottom line is if it feels right, pull the trigger! It sounds like you have a good candidate.

I bought my 2007 3LT Z51 convertible for $19,500 in July, but I swear I stole it. In the end, it is "worth" whatever you are willing to pay. If you are willing to wait, you can find the perfect deal.

Great price if mileage is low but that price even if it's higher it's still good

sorry. Meant to add that. Bought it with 51500 and now have 55000. Gotta slow down on the mileage...but it's just so fun to drive.
