pcv question
On my ls2, I didn't pass the visual on the smog test because I'm missing the pcv connection on the driver's side valve cover on the back. It just has a plug. I pulled my supercharger earlier this year and didn't realize that it mush have been removed for the initial install.
Anyone have pic or part number so I can put it back to stock?

I've added the PDF link to LS2 parts for the whole car.

Here is a pic of the back of the engine.

On the left side of the engine picture, the valve cover has a black plug. That's what mine has. Smog inspector says there is supposed to be a pcv hose connected. Is he just flat out wrong?

The pic seems to show a PCV type end connector next to that black plug.
I got a few pics, and where it's capped, that's how it's supposed to be for an LS2.
The PVC line goes behind the motor, next to the fuel inlet line by the firewall, then goes under the car towards the back. I didn't follow it under there but pretty sure it's the evaporator line going to the fuel tank.

Here is some sort of explanation on PVC routing for an LS2.
The blank is a 3/8" rubber cap GM#12579145 (the black cap in the above picture)
All it does is cap off an outlet that never gets used in LS2 application.
The valve covers are multi-purpose and get used on other engines where this outlet does get used.

Thanks. I think I'm going to use a different smog station rather than argue with the tech. If it is illustrated in the service manual then I might go back to him and show him.

My LS2 has a cap on the drivers side valve cover.
Here is a picture of the valve cover. It was removed because I recently installed Holley Valve Covers.

he dosent have a clue about what he is talking about.that cap is what the car comes with from the factory on the LS2 Corvette. On the Trailblazer SS LS2 there is a hose going to that fitting

The PCV is internal, located on the underside of the valley cover. There is a port running from the top front right side of the valley cover to the intake manifold port on the ls2.

trucks and i have seen on some pontiac g8's they use the driver cover and either no port on the valley or it is capped.
all the other cars that ive seen (except dry sump) have the driver cover capped and use the valley to vacuum the crankcase.
all of them use the passenger front valve cover for fresh air source
