Default how many kms does it take for the engines to die?

lets say car was minor mods with proper maintenance, can it go over 200,000 km and still drive perfect?

Mine did. But I suppose it depends on what "minor mods" mean.

I don't think anyone would buy a car knowing it had a definite life expectancy. Not sure why the subject ever crossed your mind.

Many of us know of many vehicles that have gone 2 or 3 times that far with no problem.

I have an 06 base lt3 vert, no mods,72000 miles,and it runs just
like the day a bought it. just finishing up a 4000 mile road trip tomorrow.
used no oil, 23.5 mpg 70mph avg. any one else out there needing to sell theres cause they are getting close 75000 miles?

200K clicks is nothing. That's only 124K miles. My Jeep Cherokee has over 230K miles and is still going strong. Chevy makes great V8's.

regular maintenance and preventative maintenance would be the key to getting a high engine/car life?

Keep clean engine oil.. never let the coolant over heat and a chevy v8 will easily go to high 200k and many over 300k.. How many miles one will last drag racing or track racing I haven't a clue. I'm referring to normal highway use. Dirty oil and running a engine hot and all bets are off.

The OP will wreck it before it ever wears out.

The LS2 engine is rated to last 300,000 miles by GM...The rest of the car is what you have to worry about falling apart......WW
