Yep, I agree. Money always seems to be an issue. But one step at a time, a little here and a little their. And your off to a great start.

I agree, the black GS badges look much better.
As for your Headlights & Tails (here comes the bashers) I used Lamin-X film for both in Gun Smoke, it can be removed if you want later down the road

Looks good. But I have to ask...what does the car being automatic have to do with being easier to change out the badges?

The car is an automatic so it wasn't that difficult. While I had the wheels off I decided to clean them up and replace the C6 center cap logo with the Corvette 100th Anniversary edition center caps.

Here's some photos.

From what I've read, the Grand Sports with a manual have a dry sump on the passenger side which makes changing the badge difficult or more time consuming than the cars with an automatic.

Hey NSF, I saw another post from you that you used plasti-dip. In your opinion, what's the best for doing the side are rear taillights? Lamix-X film, Acrylic covers, VHT Nite Shades, or plasti-dip?

thanks,
Jason

Hey Jason:
Its only my opinion but here goes
Tails I like Lamin-x precut, its shiny, and I like that finish on the side markers also but they don't offer precut for them.
Only other choice was actual lenses.
The Plasti-dip does not give you that finish as I used it on my side markers. more of a flat finish
I tried the Nite Shades and had no success whatsoever, ruined a trial tail light, others have done it successfully thou.
Covers I don't know about, have to ask another owner.
I also as you know, used the film on my headlights and to date I haven't seen any degradation of them, I also saw the disclaimer from Lamin-x so I called the company about it, they said they have sold hundreds of the headlight items and no failures, although I would estimate that you lose somewhere around 10% of light out put with the dark tint.
Hope that helps you make up your mind
Bobby

Dry sump tank in a Manual (coupe only) grand sport makes fitting your hand in there to undue the nuts on the badge more difficult. (passenger side only, drivers side is no different)
