This has been discussed here twice in the last week. I think the general consensus is you don't need to baby your tires during the winter. It won't be sitting that long and todays tires are not prone to flat spots. Just add a few extra pounds of air and say goodnight.

You could buy a couple sets of Vehicle Dollies. Jack up car and put these under each tire. Says works with Maximum loaded tire width not to exceed 13-9/16 in. (345mm).

Don't kid your self - Vette tires will flat spot if not used for more than a few days.
I have used a spare piece of carpet(house) with good results - cheap and easy.

LOL @ this urban myth.

I stored cars in the winter in the late '60s and never had any issues with "flat spots" -- even with the "low tech" tire compounds back then. And I've stored motorcycles since 1970, for 5-6 months at a stretch, no issues.

So has it ever happened? Probably sometime, somewhere. But for a few months, with modern tires? Let's see some documented evidence.

A bigger worry -- depending on where you live -- is mice destroying wiring harnesses.

Is it necessary to store your car in Vegas in the winter? Or are you going away? Anyway I never put anything under the tires and my car is stored for 4 months every year.

I pump up the air pressure to about 38-40lbs and park it on 4 pieces of 1/2 inch plywood to keep the tires off the concrete. I read somewhere that it's the damp, cold concrete that is not good for the tires.

The only thing that could help, though "help" is not needed, is something that is formed to fit the tire. This would (unnecessarily) distribute the load more.

Unless your tires are over 5 years old, and you are concerned about cracking, there is little benefit to doing anything other that adding about 5 pounds more air. JMO, though.

Tires are already made of rubber, so additional rubber will not cushion them better. The only thing that will help, though "help" is not needed, is something that is formed to fit the tire. This would (unnecessarily) distribute the load more.
