I just bought a craftsman for $39.99 from sears.com, then picked it up from my local store the next morning. Haven't tried it yet, but I chose this over the $89.99 harbor freight my friend was to get me to buy.The craftsman is 31 lbs vs 34, is a 2.5 ton vs 1.5 ton, can also lift up to 14 in. I have until 1/17/17 to return this if I'm not satisfied.

Got a Harbor Freight also, but mainly out of desperation.....needed one in a hurry. Works, but just like everything else they sell I don't trust it too much. I need to get a better quality one before I get overly comfortable with it. Then just use it as a back up.

2 of my Harbor Freight steel jacks are 8 years old, and I use them on my 2 Corvettes, my truck, and my wifes Honda .. To say they get used often is a understatement. I have never had a problem with any of my 4 HF jacks "ever" , so I would say you can probably (trust) the one that you have with any job you use it on.......WW

Jack
It is low profile, aluminum 1.5 ton with Good Year decals on it. Even being low profile, I still have to drive up on 1X4 board to clear my hockey pucks. Does the job and the price was $79 on sale. I plan to look at the Harbor freight extention bar to see if it will work for lifting at the other jack points.
PLEASE make sure that you always use jack stands and wheel chocks when jacking up a car. NEVER trust a jack to hold a car when you are working on it!.

About a year ago I bought one at Pep Boys when it was on sale.

The Harbor Freight low profile jacks will clear the jacking pucks on a C6 without using the boards.. My car is lowered about an inch all way around and my jack still clears the pucks.. The jack "cross bar" is a great addition because it can be pushed under the rear of the car to lift from the GM specified jacking points.. It can also be used on the front GM jack points under the front cradle, but the front has to be raised a small amount by using your 1"x4" boards..This then allows the jack with the cross bar to be pushed under the front of the car..WW

It will NOT roll under MY car. '08 Z06 on MPSS and DRM shocks. Those are the only mods vs stock that I can think of that would change my ride height.
P.S. Please excuse the dirty car. Just took it on a 150+ mile over night trip and drove around locally through wet CA roads over the past week.
