Pevious Owner in Indianapolis
I know this is a long shot but I am looking for the previous owner of a 2006 Silver C6 that I recently purchased from Bill Estes Chevrolet in Indy. This car was serviced at Estes since it was new. It has a custom hood stripe that reads LS2 436HP.
Is there anyway to track down a previous owner using VIN number?

The dealer won't give you the info but maybe they would forward a message to them.(Actually the hood stripe reads "536HP").

The hood stripe actually says it has 536 HP
That's a really stout LS2 ... However, I am thinking the 536 HP is BS
Jeeeze ... That base LS2 of yours has more HP than a Z06 / LS7 !

I know who ever owned the car took very good care of it. It was ordered with what appears to be almost every option other than Z06, Z51 and on star. Car was ordered with Z06 rims even had dual top option.
I'd love to know the history and why 536?

Note - the basketball goal in driveway (Hoosier Hysteria), I got this 2007 from a dealer with only 14k on it and love it... but the story here is one day getting out to pump gas, I noticed a little white something behind the black seat. further investigation revealed a piece of junk mail with an address. A little cursory looking on the net and bingo i had the PO. a quick friendly email and the connection was made -very friendly too. I recently changed out the HALO to black and bought a black clear roof panel, no pix yet though. Good luck finding your info, previous registration - I like the law enforcement idea if you can get one to do it though. Have you googled the VIN?

If you have nav or bluetooth in your car you may be able to get some info out of each of them that might lead you to the previous owner. Try destinations on the nav and look for home, get the address and google it. You may be able to get a reverse phone number for the address. Try the bluetooth and call someone on the list. Most people do not wipe the info off these items when they sell. Good luck.

Help
Sorry for sounding so obvious, but one time I found another PO by a business card which was tucked away inside the leather pouch containing the owners manual. Also another car I bought had the owner listed in the back of the owners manual, a lot of folks never make it to the back inside cover of one.
Lots of good ideas here, keep looking. Also I looked at my NAV unit and sure enough the "home" entry matched the address on the mail I found.

I've never seen this car before. It must have never made it's way to any notable car shows or street scene activities.
I made a couple posts in some local car scene groups. Maybe something will turn up.

I appreciate the help. I am the third owner. According to the car fax the car was sold by Bill Estes Chevrolet when new, to the 2nd owner as well as to me. Dealership appeared to perform all service for previous owners.
