2008 with drilled rotors.
OK Guys, I have a 08/Z51 and it comes stander with drilled rotors. I'm looking at another 08 and it has the F55 option with "drilled Rotors". Does the F55 option include drilled rotors?..Thanks

The drilled rotors, aka J55 rotors and erroneously as Z51 rotors, were also available as a stand-alone option, called HD brakes, from '05 thru '13.

Cross-drilled brakes,RPO J55, became available on coupes and convertibles in 2011 as a stand-alone option. My source for this info is the Corvette Black Book.

You can go to corvetteactioncenter.com and check the production stats and then do the math. Here's the one from '05 that shows 16,088 J55 brakes and 15,345 Z51 options. That leaves 743 cars that rolled out the door with the J55 brakes, but not the Z51 package.

To add another aspect to the stand-alone option, it's interesting to note that there were 347 cars with that option in '06, but only 27 cars in '07.
That assumedly meant the majority of the '05 and '06 cars sold that ordered the J55 option had added it to the F55 (mag ride) option and created the impetus for GM to include J55 brakes as part of the F55 option in '07.
The fact that only 9 cars were built with the stand-alone J55 option in '08, is confirmation that F55 buyers were the ones who wanted the J55 brakes and not the base buyers.
One other point, is that the stand-alone option buyers would almost always be those who ordered their cars vs dealers who wouldn't want the option in their inventory. Since GM doesn't publish the number or ratio of customer ordered cars vs dealer ordered, their internal system could easily determine the desire for J55 as part of F55 sales.
If we assume that many of those F55 + J55 buyers also traded/sold their cars rather often, that's why we don't currently hear from them now. The secondary buyers probably were unaware the '05 and '06 cars had that combination as individual options, since all F55 cars from '07-'13 were identically equipped.
So now Boomer, your one word response brought you far more than expected.
