Meet Frieda: The Callaway Race Car
In late 1993, Callaway’s European distributor, Ernst Wohr, entered a Supernatural car in the European GT endurance series. Ernst had lined up Boris Said as his driver and he approached Reeves Callaway for engines, and some of Paul Deutschman’s time to do the bodywork for the car.
In 1994 the Callaway team placed themselves on pole at Le Mans, by five seconds in the Corvette-based model, and did very well. The car ran the rest of the major endurance races that year and it generated orders for three more cars for European customers.
See this car and many other Callaways in our Exhibit Hall, now through May 5.

I was as at the NCM a couple of weeks ago and saw the display. Very nicely done and the cars were really something to look at. I had no idea Calaway had produced so many different cars over the years.
