Thanks for sharing. This is a very special car, built under RPO B2K for 2012. It was a $53,000 option on top of the ~$80k GS convertible.

An an amazing part of our history, this is THE C6 to buy as a collector.

Super nice car, but for that kind of money, I would buy a C7Z06 for less money and more hp. Sorry. Still a beautiful car.

Nice car, but no way is that option worth another 53k, you could have bought a new ZR1 for way less money

That anniversary edition is really nice but seeing that makes me feel a whole lot better about my recent purchase for quite a bit less than half that price. 2010 SC580 Callaway cyber gray Grand Sport convertible

I was interested in doing a trade for my 2011 606 coupe. Spotless by the way. 15,000 miles. I wanted a new ZO6 and planned to send to Callaway.
I will not write the embarrassing number I was given for the car. Needless to say it was lower than 2011 gs they were selling.
The dealer I went to was a Callaway dealer.
I did the polite walk out. No new Callaway for me.......

It doesn't even come with Magnetic Ride Control for that price!

But since the buyer will probably wrap it in bubble wrap and never drive it, I guess you don't need it.

It purposely uses the Callaway suspension, designed for this model. Magnetic Ride was specifically not available on RPO B2K cars.

Nordschliefe Dampers
  • Manufactured exclusively for Callaway by Bilstein – Germany
  • Race-inspired Mono-tube, gas pressure design
  • Unique three layer coating process provides superior corrosion resistance, great looks
  • Standard equipment on 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Callaway Corvette, RPO B2K
  • Designed for daily driving as well as weekend track use

Callaway Competition’s German engineers build series-dominating Z06.R GT cars for several European teams and campaign their own ADAC GT Masters racecars. So when it was time to develop a new shock absorber for Callaway’s 25th Anniversary Corvette road cars, they collaborated with the experts at Bilstein-Germany to design, validate and construct a new damper system.

Racing damper features are incorporated, adjusted to eliminate harsh “racing-only” ride characteristics. Along with shock dynamometer development, in-car testing at Nordschliefe, the north loop of the Nürburgring, provided extensive data which was used to establish valving specifications.

Bilstein’s high quality manufacturing standards are maintained throughout on these Callaway-branded dampers. Sold in serialized matched sets.

Drop me a note if you would like to discuss this further. I have a dealer, for example, who LOVES pre-owned Callaways, and regularly takes them on trade. They sell just as many pre-owned Callaways as new. And I have other dealers who take on trade...
