Funny, whenever I drive the C6 to an event I am usually able to find a place right out front.

I just call it "Corvette Parking".

It's just a charm that comes with the car. The 'vette gets the best parking place for no real reason.

I always make an effort to park where it is the least likely someone will park beside me like up to the curb on the end of a row where I can get close to the curb and only expose the Corvette on one side or further out in a big parking lot. Still doesn't prevent someone parking next to you after all who wouldn't want to park next to a beautiful Corvette. I never park in the middle of two spaces no matter how tempting. Seems a sure fire way to call undo attention to the Corvette and get keyed out of spite. Remember there are two kinds of people. Those who drive Corvette and those who wish they could.

I'm beginning to think some folks signed up on this forum thinking it was for Chevettes vs. Corvettes?

Default Magnet

I've noticed that if I park away from other cars. Yes someone will park next to me. WHY WHY. It's just human nature. It's like going into the grocery store and checking out. People almost always stand inline behind other people instead of going to a check out with no waiting. I guess people think there must be something wrong with the checker with no waiting. And yes I did say inline not online it's a New York Thing.

I can understand not wanting to eat at a restaurant with an empty parking lot. And I suspect the same goes for dating -- busy people seem more attractive. But parking spaces?

At work, I try to park at least 10 spots away from everyone else...of course my buddies are very respectful of this...

Not really Karma, more like cruel, cruel feminine vengance.

I think a lot of folks just want to check it out and parking next to it is convenient for them to then have an excuse instead of walking over. Most people don't think, or if they do, entirely selfishly and dumbly.

I’m not sure if anyone suggested this already. I just found this thread and didn’t completely read all 8 pages. Have you tried the Window Valet? I use it every time I drive my GS. It’s great. You can search here on CF for all the details. I got mine from a Forum vendor. I’m only 5’9” and 150lbs, but after 3 back surgeries, the Window Valet is very useful. ( it may not help too much with the size 12 foot, but it’ll give you more head room to maneuver in a squeeze)

To the OP, I’m very selective where I park too.

Huge corner spot and I’m completly within the stripes. I never take more than one spot.

The car's shadow is touching the fire line. Does that mean six more weeks of winter?

Hopefully not! We hit about 73 degrees here today. It’s feeling like spring already.
