You went all out with the entire kit. Very nice! It will all come together nicely. What wheels are you going with?

I'm going with Forgestar F14's super deep concave 20/19 with full polish no clear coat.

Wait a minute, your putting Grand Sport body panels on a 'base" corvette? Why don't you just buy a GS and have the real deal. Now your in the ultimate poser car. If somebody comments to you "nice Grand Sport" what are you going to reply. Sorry, you may get a lot of good lucks with the conversion replies but I could NEVER drive a wanna be car.

You can't just "buy a GS" like he is building. Supervettes wide body is in a different class altogether GS6X. Most corvette owners will know it's not stock. And you are probably one of the few that wouldn't drive it.

Mine has only the rear Z06 widebody, and I love it. Thought about doing the front end to match but not sure if I want the headaches.

And what class is that. Put any spin you want on it and call the panels whatever you want but those front fenders ARE GS FENDERS.

To each their own. It's not like he is putting GT or SS emblems on a 4 cylinder. It still has the same heart as a GS and as a GS owner it doesn't bother me one bit. At the end it's still a base model with a wide body conversion, but nothing wrong with that. A base Corvette gets enough respect to hold its own so I don't think this falls anywhere near the "poser" category. If I had the base model I don't think I would ever attempt to do this, but I'm interested to see how it turns out.

when it's all said and done, could you PM me what it cost to get it painted, + parts?

I'm very interested in this myself, but quite literally concerned on what I'd have to pay for just paint alone.

Are they actually super vettes panels or from a different company. Looks like it will be great once finished.

Thanks, I think you know where I am coming from with this build. I am not Trying to replicate a GS, Any real Corvette Lover would know this! Its not a GS, I am not trying to copy a GS. A GS was more about style. A step above a base, two steps below a Z06 and maybe Three Below a ZR1. I just love its style, the looks of those vents! For me its harkens back to the mid 60' to early 70's. I am just like the rest of all you members , I am Crazy for for, My corvette!

Any way, its not like I'am trying to make a 69' L88 427 rep or a 63' split window ! I'am making my own Vette! . Chevy made thousands of them! , at least the C6 . I don't want to be like the rest. My Corvette must be my own! . Now I know how my Wife feels at a dance when the the lady across the room has the same dress on!
