Brake Rotors
Would like to put all drilled and slotted brake rotors on my base model 2005 C6.
Looks like even "American made" are really cast in China and machined in U.S.A.
Please throw out some suggestions as to the better quality rotors I should shop for. Ones that you all have had good results with.
I have good OEM pads (about3/8" remaining). As conversations go, it seems most agree leaving the old good pads on, when changing rotors. Agree ?
Thanks

I put Brake Motive rotors on my car and have been happy. They are both drilled and slotted. In reality all you need is slotted rotors. Just look at what race cars use. They don't rust in the center of the hub like the stock ones do. I'd put new pads on with the new rotors as your existing ones are worn in with your old rotors. You may want to use a ceramic pads if brake dust on your wheels is a concern.

DBA 4000 series slotted rotors are good. On my second set at 181,000 miles. Personally do not care for drilled rotors.
As a general rule I put on new pads when I change rotors as the old pads were worn to the old rotors. And they are fairly inexpensive.

I'm glad you asked this question. My brakes have plenty of life on them and work just fine but they are not slotted or drilled and the rear is exposing a bunch of The ugly rust color. I was looking for non rust rotors and ones that look nicer since I'll be replacing them with drilled or slotted. I don't really want to go with both. I feel like it makes the car look cheap.

No drilled only slots!
