Just a few observations from an old guy who's made mistakes too:
Don't trust dealers, especially used car-only dealers.
Don't trust Carfax. It seems to be inaccurate as often as it is accurate.
Don't buy old race cars unless you want old race car problems.
If you don't know anything about cars, get someone who does to take a look at it. Like a professional, not pops cuz he's owned a few cars.
If you paid more attention to the information packed into this forum instead of worrying about how to go faster all the time, you would have known this. Which is awesome at only 18!years old.

It's hard to keep up with all the threads but until there's been a diagnosis of the noise by someone who knows what they're doing, isn't the rest of this for nothing?

Also, are you sure NF owned this car last or has it been passed around since he built it? You could luck out or it might be a complete clusterf$&@ if all sorts of dirty hands have been in it.
Typically these show/race cars get offed as soon as something newer comes along. I couldn't see them pulling up in a c6 to an event in 2017, or 2014 for that matter.

So if we could just figure out that back door noise we would be of elite race car status.

With his name. It was also located in his city! It's his car I saw the video its exact the engine blew on the last owner cause of low oil pressure. So it has a new engine with I assume less then 5k miles. He blew the engine in 04/14/16

I don't even know I had money saved for mods but looks like I need to dump it into the rear end. I heard of someone getting 9s with bolt ons! Lol but looks like I'm gonna have to wait and just play with the dumb ten second mark. Or I can mod it and just beat on it till the diff blows! But if I'm still alive to hit 9s in my life time. I'm doing it maybe it has to be when I'm 19. Engine is solid! Runs so good! Just this rear end. I could sell the coil overs for a pretty penny but I want them. We will see but Ima take life as what ever it will throw at me.

You figured out what the noise and vibration was? I can't keep track of all your threads so I may have missed it. What's wrong with the rear? If you're putting 9s on hold and shooting for 10s that must mean you're already in the 11s. Nice!

Just do a search of threads started by me if you wanna see what happens when a rear goes boom. Make sure you use the right fluid if you decide to mess with it.
Speaking of money for mods.... don't forget you need reserves for potential balancer crap out and some for the potential gas leak issue. (10 year coverage I believe from the point in time the car was put into service) if you' re beyond that if/when it happens, no coverage for it.

Good job finding the information on your own.

Well if it has a gas leaks and catches my Caen on fire I think it's covered by insurance right? Where can I find more info about this. And the balancer should I get a ATP?

I would think you will get a letter in the mail from GM with the details after you register the car. The letter spells out the coverage for repair. Its pricey fix if you go beyond the mileage or time frame for coverage. Long story short, check the sticky thread at the top of the forum and if you smell gas, bring it to a dealer.
ATI= balancer
ATP = cellular energy
