I installed the MGW complete shifter yesterday along with the T handle. The quality is second to none. The stock parts are so cheap. Easy install.

The shifter feels like a ratchet shifter. It's perfect. The throw is just right. 5th is so much easier to find. My stock shifter would bind under a load. I bet this one won't. Frankly, I like the shifter better than the handle. I like this setup very much. I bought the extra shaft so I can go back to a stock **** if I want to. You even have the option of moving the shifter closer to the dash if you have ape arms. This is a case of you get what you pay for. Top quality! Thanks MGW. I'm a happy shifter.

Hello Dave.

I contacted Chris at Lathe Werks. He is going to make me one. A couple questions for you though if you don't mind?

He was going to make is so that the handle is perpendicular to the way the handle mounts so I don't have to use a jamb nut. Is that the way yours is or is it angled a bit toward you?

Would you have it made shorter?

What material did you have it made from?

With the ever so slight amount of chrome trim in the interior I was going to go with the chrome one. After living with yours for a while....what would you do?

Thanks!!

Thanks

Do you like the handle perpendicular or do you have it turned a bit toward the driver seat?

Can't answer for him obviously, but for me, yes I have it angled towards the driver. Just adjust the angle until your 2/3 shift feels perfect. Don't have one in my C6 yet, but had one in my 2004 Mach-1 Mustang and loved it.

Thanks. The reason that I ask is that the guy was going to make the adapter so that it sat straight (and not use a jam nut). So it sounds like I may be best to have him make it to use with a jam nut?

Yes, I would go with the jam nut so you can adjust the angle to your liking.
