Default Back in the saddle again

Hi all, I've been absent ever since I sold my 99" back in 07 and eventhough I've had many other sport cars in the meantime, I never stoped thinking I should have kept the vett. I now have a 2001 SLK 320, but a decided to get another vett, and after much searching I found a 2006 coupe that eventhough it had 95K on it was in very good condition and was a one owner very well maintained car. I drove down to Clearwater yesterday and forked over 18,000 for it and drove it home.
The only thing is that last night I realised that the HUD was not on and I could not get it to come on after following the manual instructions.
The cluster is on so its not the fuse. What else could it be.?
Is this a common problem.?
Anyway,, I very glad to be back in the fold.

There's a dimmer/brighter button. Did you make sure it's not set to the lowest setting?

Did you try the up and down button? It can move out of view for me.

How weird. Autonation Chevy, right? I was looking at that same exact car a couple of weeks ago. They just sent me an e-mail this morning saying that they sold it. They wouldn't let me drive it the other week because the windshield needed to be replaced. They were dragging their feet with the repair so I walked away. How's the paint near the fuel door? The interior on that car looked to be in great shape. I think they replaced the steering wheel as well.

Wow that is weird. They replaced the wind Shieled and the wheel.
I thought it looked a lot better than the photos on line. (Wheel)
The paint looks ok, but need to be claybared. I have a guy doing the outside next week. The inside is in very good condition.
I dont care if the HUD works, I just wished they had been up front about it. Maybe they didn't know.

Maybe it broke in the process of replacing the windshield? Don't know...did you see the CarFax on that thing though? Hats off to the previous owner. I think you got a good deal on that particular car. I was ready to buy it but wasn't going to without a test drive.

Sorry you missed out on that car as it is really in good shape.
(Not that sorry)
i did save the CarFax on it, and that's way I drove 1 1/2 hr to see it.
The first owner had it in for oil change every 3,000 at the same dealer that had the car. They also did the regular maintenance as per the manual.
It's had 2 batteries,, 2 sets of tires. He also had the rear end x2, power steering, and brakes fluids flushed and replaced. The underside of the car is dry as a bone.
And guess what,,,,,, the dealer is going to fix the HUD for free because he didn't tell me about the HUD not working. Nice people there.

I actually live in Clearwater! Send me a message if you ever end up around this area again and want to meet up.
