Default Press on Brake pedal, click in fuse box

I just started back driving my vette since the winter. I noticed, when I step on my brake pedal, I get a clicking sound in my fuse box located on the passengers side. Everytime I step in the brake pedal,
I receive this clicking sound. I did not notice this previously. Any ideas!

It's probably the brake light relay, why you can hear it now and not before, not to sure.
Double check to make sure your brake lights are functioning. I believe that the car needs to be running as the signal goes through the BCM

Mine does the same thing. Don't know what causes it. But I think it's normal.

They all do it - it is the brake light relay - no fears - no problems - only fun

I've read about this many times. GM must have gone with cheaper relays after 05 because mine has never done this.

I don't know about all, my 2012 that I bought new never did it and my 2013 GS that I also bought new does not do it.

Auto or Manual?

It may be only the auto has it and it has to do with the "park" shift interlock?

Mine is an auto for reference and has always done it. I can sit there and push the brake pedal and it will click in the passenger fuse box (floor) every single time.

Your explanation does sound feasible in the fact both of my cars are manuals.

My auto clicks the shifter solenoid with the brake which is how I know it will shift out of park. Works every time.

OP, turn down the radio. Even the engine isn't loud enough to overpower the multiple relays that click powering up various systems when you get in and start the car.

Never noticed it on the 07 Z06 or the 12 A6 GS but the 09 ZR1 makes the click.
