DTRL Not Working
I had original amber DTRL's and changed them for LED's. Other than the fast flash everything was OK. I bought VLED's from a forum member sometime ago and never installed them until today. The directionals work but not the DTRL's don't. I put the old incandescents back in and the DTRL's still don't work. Any ideas? Is there a separate fuse for them? Any help would be appreciated.
BTW There are 3 wires going to the DRL's Green/White, Brown and Black. I am going to assume that the Black wire is the ground not sure but which wire is the "High" side and which is the "Low" side? Can anyone help? Thanks

Burning Brakes
Check the simple things first; for the DRL to come on, the headlight switch must be in the AUTO position, the E-brake must be off and the tranny cannot be in PARK.

I checked that and found since it was on a lift in my garage it was not as bright as it was outdoors and the headlights were on. I had to trick it into thinking it was daylight. One side came on as white and turned amber when I put the directional on which worked OK the other side the directional works but the DRL does not come on. Not sure why.
Do they DRL's go off when the headlights are on? I guess the answer is yes just want to confirm. Thanks again.

DRL's
If your's dim when the headlights or fogs are on that would be a weak ground. What exactly are VLEDS, never heard of them. I have the Radio Flyer plug and play harnesses with their bulbs and mine work just fine.

Both of my C6s did/do this. From day one.
I bet they are designed to do this for a couple reasons. Why do you you need your DRLs to be at full strength at night? They only need to be parking lights and turn signals (at which point they light up full strength for signaling). Fog lights on assume dim conditions, as well.

When I answered this question, I did not actually try it on my car. Instead, I consulted the owner' manual, page 3-16 to be specific: "When it is dark enough outside, the front turn signal lamps turn off and the normal low-beam headlamps turn on."
Just went out to the garage to check, and they do indeed stay on.

Just curious, but why?

Certainly valid to have a dislike, but my ins. co gives a discount for cars with them. I figure they wouldn't do that if it didn't make the car (and me) safer, so I leave them on.
That, and I do like how it makes the car identifiable from quite a long way off.

After all this time found out that I had a bad transformer for the one side of the LED DRL's. The manufacturer sent me a new one no charge and all is well. Thanks everyone for your help.
Like these very much they are bright as ............... well you know.
