C6 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
While I am not much of a Dodge fan I think it is fantastic they had the ***** to build and sell this.
Who would have ever thought we would see all these powerful cars? Was not that long ago that the fastest cars in the world had 210 hp or there abouts. Crazy that we now can buy cars with these crazy hp numbers.
Would never sell my Corvette for one but I am excited to see this made available.
OP you have an awesome Corvette.

I think all these high horsepower cars are pretty cool. They're overpriced but there still cool.
Corvette is something special and everybody knows that, that's why there is a Corvette Museum, that's why there are Corvette clubs all over the world. This weekend I'm going to the big Corvette weekend in Hot Springs Arkansas. Do you think there will ever be a big Demon weekend somewhere? NO.
But hats off to the engineers at Dodge for having the ***** to do this, hats off to the engineers at General Motors for the Camaros, Corvettes and CTSV.
I've been a Chevy guy my whole life... I took a Chevelle over a charger when I was young...
As far as the horse power thing goes...
Stay thirsty my friends!

eh... once you've entered the 4-ish 0-60 club... does it matter? Who races between red lights anymore... 17 yr olds? I bought a vette because, within the relatively affordable 4 second machines out there, it's:
1. the best looking
2. the best bang for the buck
3. has a rich history
4. is serviceable
5. the best looking (yes, twice)
just my opinions but that's pretty much it, always wanted one. never for more than 15 seconds have a thought about a mustang or a challenger b/c of 1 and 5. in fact i think the mustang is average looking (and driven by too many teens) and the challenger is butt ugly.
that's where the issue begins and ends. i'm not a guy who frets over an after-market add-on that adds 16 hp or similar. the demons specs are seriously impressive if you want to be king between the red lights which has never been an issue with me, ever.

It has been a very successful marketing campaign for Dodge- bumping that HP # always gets the head lines. I doubt the new ZR1 whenever it comes out will get this much attention although I have no doubt it will be a vastly superior vehicle.

When I was looking to buy a sports car this time around I was looking at the Challengers until I seen a C6 next to the Challenger on a lot. I always wanted a vette. I bought a vette and have been happy with my choice. I do think it is cool that in this age of political correctness that companies are making muscle cars again.

The days of people talking about a 70 Chevelle LS6, or a Mopar Hemi, or a Ford whatever from the 60/70's are over.
Dodge will be remembered for not only have the highest HP ever produced off the showroom floor, but they smacked the hell out of every one. Chevy's highest hp is what 635/650? This thing has 808/840!
Thats amazing, and I fricking hate Dodge.
You guys whining about it not going around curves, that's not the point. the simple point is it has 808/840 HP and has a powertrain warranty.
Not everyone gives a crap about curves. With that kind of power, your a stop light king, and can kill about everything from a roll.

Fiat is trying to keep the Dodge brand relevant. Apparently their trucks were moved over to a different line and are no longer under the Dodge moniker. So their line up is pretty thin. A couple of SUVs, the Charger, the Challenger, and that's pretty much it now. And they keep pushing back the redesign. again and again and again. I wouldn't be surprised if Fiat gets rid of Dodge instead of doing the promised redesign that isn't materializing.
These final years may be the last hurrah for another American Muscle brand.

It will cost you all that $90k and maybe a little more to build one to beat a Vette on a road racing course.
