Default Cruisin' on Oahu's North Shore

I've been feeling really burnt out lately, so I used a vacay day and headed out to the North Shore with my fiance Arianne. Here's a few pics.

A quick stop at Waimea Bay, and I found myself surrounded by Mustangs. They are a very common rental here. I think there's one in every 10-15 cars.

The Rainbow Bridge in Haleiwa

Chun's Market. This was one of my favorite places to grab a quick plate lunch before surfing when I was younger. So sad to see they closed down.

The other Haleiwa sign.

I've done that drive! In fact, in one of those Mustang convertible rentals....You live in paradise!

We stayed at the Royal Hawaiian.

Nice, thanks for sharing. Spent 10 year on Oahu, miss the days I would just cruise over to the North Shore just for the heck of it.

Thank you! The Royal Hawaiian in the heart of Waikiki is a great place to hang out.

Thank you! The paint is custom. Ride height has worked out for the most part. Can't go any lower or I'd lose my sanity.

Beautiful car,
I also have done that drive, but not in my 2013 GS. I'm interested in your thoughts about your rear spoiler. My car is not as phat a$$ed as yours but I really like the look. Was the ordering/installation fairly straightforward? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Enjoy your Beauty

Awesome, thanks for sharing. My wife and I love vacationing in Hawaii and feel very blessed to be able to do so, mostly in Maui. Last year we spent 5 nights in Oahu and loved the north shore. Hung out to watch surfers and went to the Dole campus but the greatest was the food trucks in Haleiwa. Can't imagine doing it in a corvette...simply an amazing place!

I'm in Oahu right now. We rented a normal car but they had new Corvette convertibles for rent. I thought about it but didn't think it was worth it because of the slow speed limits and rain. Is there any racing or autocross on Oahu?

That is a great looking vette in a great place.

I was last there in 2005 and I wasn't driving a vette.

Nice pics. Just made our flight arrangements for this coming January. Going to the Big Island for 5 days, and then on to Maui for 4 weeks. This is the month after retirement. Woo Hoo!
