Exhaust Questions & Advice
Picked up my C6 LS3 Cyber Gray Z51 MN6 on Sat...Been searching for months and finally found the right one! So, the car has NPP exhaust and way too quite IMO..So, I've read about adjusting NPP to stay open at all times? Or my first thought was to add Borla S Type II....
Then, axle back or cat-back? Need some advice..Thank you

Pull fuse #10 from the BCM and the NPP will stay open all the time. This is what I did with mine and it made a big difference, but I do plan on going with Corsa Sports in the future.

Or...you can install a Mild to Wild switch. It allows the exhaust to function as normal or be open all the time. Simple installation and around $100.

Axle back would get you a louder tone it seems that Borla or Corsa seems to be the popular choice I don't have experience with either but I was close to getting the Borla Atak exhaust before I went with the LT Headers, Hi-Flo Cats, and X-pipe.

Try pulling the fuse and riding around with the exhaust open for a few weeks. If you find a point that you wish the exhaust was not so loud get the mild to wild switch. Thats what I did with my car to help me decide what I wanted to do.

I have a 2013 GS with NPP. I would almost say not to bother with the mild to wild switch. I got it and have it in “wild” 99.9% of the time. I could have just pulled the fuse and saved the money. Now, if you go with headers it might be nice to quiet it down from time to time.

The NPP exhaust is really nice if your C6 has the stock exhaust manifolds.
However, I installed a set of catted long tube headers on my GS. After installing the headers, the sound going through the NPP was fine until you went full-throttle ... At full-throttle, the exhaust tone was just [obnoxiously loud] when the NPP valves would open.
My fix was to remove the NPP mufflers and replace them with a set of Borla "Touring" mufflers ... Perfect now, even at full throttle.

I have a axle back Borla S type II on my 11 GS Convertible MN6. I think they are a Good balance of loud enough , but not obnoxious. I was tempted to go with the Borla attack , but Im glad I didn't. I plan on a installing headers and X pipe and think it would be too loud with the attack.

Billy Boat Fusion without question, Best sounding exhaust hands down.
I've got Pfadt Long tubes, Hi-Flo cats and X-pipe. Corvette World in Dallas did the work
and Keith the master tech is AMAZING. Tuned by nationally known tech they have come in on certain days when he's in town. The car is running 492whp, 410 rwhp now.
IT SOUNDS AND RUNS LIKE A NASCAR... GO SEE THESE GUYS.

Don't be so quick to discount the NPP. I have this on 2 SS Camaro's and love it on both. ! has long tubes, no cats and no fuse, sounds great at idle, smooth when cruising and LOUD when getting on it. The other car is driven daily and just pulled the fuse, sounds great to me with no drone. Don't forget this is a GM engineered exhaust system for your car that has very little restriction and adds horsepower!
