Default quick brake pad question

So i ordered EBC red stuff ceramic pads for my 2012 GS and just had them delivered. I call CARID where i purchased the pads to make sure of fitment. The gentleman i spoke to informs me that if the car has carbon ceramic rotors, they will not fit. I told him that i don't think they are, but now he has me wondering. So i ask, are the rotors on the GS carbon ceramic rotors? The guy i originally spoke to when placing the order never mentioned anything about the rotors. I specifically told him they were for a 2012 GS corvette and he stated there wouldn't be a problem.

I don't think so. Z07 pkg and ZR1 have them.
They would look like this

I don't think any GS's were offered with carbon ceramic rotors, AFAIK. Only Z06 Carbon Edition, Z07 pkg., and ZR1.

The C7 GS is available with them via the Z07 package, so perhaps that's why the guy was confused.

Not when I explained it's a 2012 corvette.

....you're assuming he knows when the C7 was introduced and for that matter what all the sub-models within each generation are. Just because someone hears the words doesn't mean they understand them. Pravda da?

It's been said many times, "if people don't know their products, they shouldn't be in business." The one big reason I dread shopping online.

Its the same thing when folks on this forum put the year of their car, 2006, and then follow it with C6. Why? Either, or. No reason to put both, but they do.

because there are a lot of differences in C6's depending on model year

True, but what LMB-Z says makes a lot of sense because most of us here on the C-6 forum know the first C-6 was introduced in 2005. And we all know the LS3 came out in the 2008 model year. Just sayen.
