Hey there. I just bought a new grand sport collectors edition with a number stamped. Is there a way to find out production quantity for the same vehicle? Thx

Corvette Black Book says they made 2,552 of them.

The only collectors edition I am aware of is the 2017 model. I believe the total number of units is set for arounf 150. You may want to check on the C7 forum.

The 2,552 stated above is the number of the 2013 427 convertibles produced, not GS, unless Iam missing something.

I guess we can asssume it's a C6 but a picture or VIN would help. I gave up being psychic last week darn it, lol. I knew it was too soon.

Carbon Fiber was a "collector" as was the 100th Anniversary, the 60th, the C6R?

The Corvette Black Book calls it a Collector's Edition, but doesn't say anything about it being a Grand Sport. It is 427 Convertible Collector's Edition.

Its not a GS but let's wait until the OP comes back with more info before we turn this thread into a train wreck.

I guess I should clarify my statement. If you dig deep enough you will find that GM did call the 427 a conversion GS internally. Assuming this is because of the steel GS frame. That's as far as it goes. Other than that, it's a parts bin car that is called 427 Convertible Collectors Edition and does not mention anything about being a GS.

You bought a "new" GS, collectors edition. With a number stamped??? what is a number stamped? How do you buy a car with a number stamp?

If we are talking about a 2013 grand sport , they made 712 coupes and 389 Convertibles in arctic white...1,101 total units. They than had to be a 4LT optioned car to be able to add the (Z 25 Design option). This was the blue interior etc that looks like the 427 collector convertibles. Now if you have the Vin number the fifth digit will be a (3) for MT trans and (4) for automatic trans for 60th GS's. Hope to hear from the OP

Guess this guy can't tell if he has a C7 or a C6.
It's his first post ever. So we'll either have to be patient, or figure he's a troll.

Post the VIN so we can be sure what you've got so that we know what to tell you.

You need to invest in a Corvette Black Book. Buy it from the museum and join while you're at it.
