Why do folks pick the option "Z51" to make badges for...why not some other option? I don't get it. If you like it, fine, just not for me. To each his own.

Like I said it's something to do with the letter Z. Same goes for people that use it in their screen name.

I think it is because Chevy uses Z for a lot of their higher end products as a model number. Z71 for trucks, Z28 for Camaro's, Z06 and Z71 on Corvettes. There are probably more that I am missing.
That has always been my take on why so many think it is a cool thing to stick on their car.
To me it is just an option, like navigation.

Not a fan. My car had Z51 badges on the front fender where the Z06 badge usually goes. They were installed by one of the previous owners and I took them off the next day.

Why did Chevy not put a zo6 or GS badge on the rear? Because it doesn't fit the design of the rear. the C4 zr1 model have body lines that the badge fit into so it looked good the c6 doesn't. Any badge stuck on the rear looks like an afterthought, regardless of what trim level or option.

Oven cleaner works wonders. Do not use an abrasive pad, it will scratch the tips.

I don't know why but C6 ZR1 has a factory rear badge. Maybe so it will stand out from the rest.

But the Z51 is basically the Z71 of Corvettes instead of trucks. It's a suspension upgrade option (and coolers and stuff). Why didn't Chevrolet put Z51 badges on Corvettes but they put Z71 badges and big *** stickers on trucks?

Tell everyone to go jump off a bridge and do what you want with your Vette. Quit worrying about what everyone else thinks. You'll drive yourself nuts. That's why I seldom post pics on here.

.....except for those who start a post titled - "Is This Tacky?" as then he wants input.

I also agree about the pics. I will only post pics of parts or components. Even then, you'll get all sorts of input wanted or not. In the end, there are so many personalized mods one can do to a Vette, there will always be yays/nays on everything. I truly do mods for me, and no one else.

Not a fan, but the OP's car.

Additional advertising is usually in poor taste, especially when noting a oem condition.

No badges needed. the Z-51 option is an RPO production code, not a model. No one but serious Corvette people would know what it is anyway. Those of us that know aren't usually big fans.
