Default prop shaft bearing

I am looking at a 2011 Grand sport with 2000 miles on it and it has a rattle maybe the Torque tube or bearing. If the car sat for a while could the noise go away after driving it or can it hurt the car to drive it?
How big of a job to replace the bearing?

The noise wont likely go away. I would make sure a qualified shop diagnoses the issue before buying the car. It is not a cheap fix if it is indeed the torque tube.

2,000 MILES and its rattling ???
Definitely have it checked out before purchasing there may be other things that are hidden as well. I'd pull a carfax and dealer report on that one.
Good luck

If it is an A6, could be the flex plate.
