Default Show Us Your MGW

I am considering purchasing a new MGW shirt shifter and I am trying to decided between the flat stick or regular short shifter, the gripper ****, race **** or the queue ball. I have seen a few photos here and on the web but figured that there were many of you out there that haven't shared a photo yet. Post away for me and others considering what these look like in the C6!

I just installed mine last week but I just got the stock stick and using the stock shifter...I love the way it shifts. You wont be disappointed no matter which shift or **** you get.

Yeah, I am sure that there are a lot out there that have the stock appearance. I was just looking to get photos of the new flat stick with different colors and **** combinations as well as the original short shifter with different *****, boots, etc. That way people can look in one place to see some different combinations.

Gripper ****. Before anyone says anything I just installed the Vitesse and I do plan to drill a hole in the ashtray compartment and hide the cable.

I do not have a pic handy, but I originally went with the gripper **** and now have an 8 ball. The stock **** never felt "right" to me, I like to shift with my palm on top of the shifter, not around it.

If you want to keep the ashtray compartment stock, take a look at this thread:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1594648500

Mine arrived in less than a month.

What pool ball **** did you go with? The threads matched the MGW?
I was looking at the black ball with the grey strips and shift pattern but thought it was for the factory shifter. I like the gripper. It feels good but if the sun is just right it reflects off of the chrome center ring right in my eyes. I thought about painting the ring.

I pulled the ashtray out and am going to drill a hole in the plastic behind it to run the cable through. Then I can close the door and hide the Vitesse so if I take it to a shop for anything and they need to drive it I can turn the throttle controller back off to SP0 or an E number and they won't know its there. And if I ever want to take the Vitesse out I can just put the ashtray back in and cover the hole I drilled.

Plus on Vasiliy's plate you would have to cut out a slot to mount the Vitesse.

Honestly I got it for free from a member here, it was threaded to fit the stock shaft, when I ordered my MGW I got both the stock shaft (?) and the one for the gripper ****. I will take a pic tomorrow.

Here are a couple others that I found, although the top one is a C7.

All you have to do is tell Vasiliy the dimensions of what you want cut and he'll do it. In fact, there is a post at the tail end of the thread mentioning cutting a slot for the Vitesse controller for no additional charge.

With that said, using his plate wouldn't give you the option to hide the controller.

When I ordered my MGW I ordered two shafts from them, one for their Gripper **** and one that the factory **** would fit. I think it was less than $20 for the extra shaft, I figured that it would be cheap insurance if I did not like the Gripper **** and wanted a different **** from the aftermarket. So all this is a long winded way of saying yes, the **** in the pictures does not thread on and uses a set screw.

What's the reason for the flat stick? Is it just aesthetics? I rather prefer the boot just hiding the stick.

I like the look of the white cue *****.

Just something different and you don't see all the time. Plus I have a Torch Red 2011 C6 GS so I think it looks good if I have the top out and someone see the red car and the red handle with the white ball. LoL
