Battery Disconnected and Release Cable in Trunk Won't Fully Unlatch Driver's Door
When storing my 2005 C6 convertible for the winter I disconnected the battery with the doors locked. Now, to get into the car to pull the hood release and reconnect the battery, I have opened the truck with the key and pulled the door release cable. Unfortunately pulling the cable doesn't fully release the driver's door latch. It opens the door to the first or half latched position but it won't completely release the door latch so that I can open the door. Help.....

Have you tried having someone pull on the cable and maintaining tension on it while you pull on the door?

Stand beside the car and while you're pulling on the cable, open the door. Easy to do without help.

The window is tucked under the edge of the roof. Since there is no power the window won't index down to clear the roof so you have to pull on it.

You have to stand next to the car where you have your left hand on the door to open it when you pull the cable with your right hand.
It's a two handed operation.

I just experienced this while removing my car interior. Pull and open the door at the same time.

Perhaps that's what you intended to say? I'll take your word for it.

First thing I did when I realized people were having issues with the key, was to check to see if it worked. Then I lubed the lock and covered it with a small piece of electrical tape. After reading this I'll probably go out and check it again.
