How do you know that cold wouldn't be better?
Oh yeah, Merle was one of Chet's early influences. These guys were real innovators. Chet grew up extremely poor, and when he was a kid he'd take a wire out of a door screen and use it to replace a broken guitar string. And I think he's mentioned making a thumbpick out of an old toothbrush handle, lol.
I first listened to him on 78's.
You must know who the other thumb picker was--- Merle Travis

I listen to just about everything. Classic rock, country, tap, classical, opera punk, jazz and pop.
But by far I listen to heavy more than all others.

I wanted to chime in, but I think this thread is reserved for old guys.
Elijah, I think you may have killed one or two of our members with that video link (or at least sent someone into serious shock). Please be more careful with what you post in the future. Thank you.

Journey and Boston
I like to listen to Journey's greatest hits album along with the first Boston album beginning to end. The first song blaring out of Bose this Spring was "Long Time" ....Oh ya Brad Delp..."Its been such a long time" ....since i drove my GS coupe!!!!!

Okay here I'll tone it down, way down. I just don't get into the groove of my ride on the lighter scale of things. It's good for chilling at home or while working but not when I drive or ride.

Same here.. I don't fit in well the average listening habits of 99% of Vette owners. Has to be hard rock/metal: Five Finger Death Punch, Slipknot, Disturbed, Korn, Sevendust, Metallica, Mudvayne.. Artists you would hear on Sirius channel 37 Octane.

Yesterday I was cruising the freeway with this one turned up load: "Dreams I'll Never See" by Molly Hatchett. Southern Rock at it's finest!

In the North East it's Rush and Howie Carr. If they're not on then it's Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Animals, Hendrix, Aerosmith... All the old greats.
I almost hang my head in shame when I say this - but I also have an Adele CD in the vette...
They all sound fantastic on the Bose if it's adjusted correctly and really cranked up.

This old guy should keep his mouth shut but what the heck. It doesn't have anything to do with age kid----it has everything to do with knowing what good music sounds like as opposed to noise

I think we share the same taste in music.
I'll throw one more out there, first line in the song is "left town in a stolen Corvette"!
