Factory Nav / CD door won't open.
I bought a used OEM nav radio from EBay.
I installed it in the car and everything played good except the nav door does not open.
It tries to, but it can't .
I tried this in accessory mode because I knew if I started the car, the radio will lock until a dealer unlocks it.
I don't want to pay the dealer to unlock the radio, if the unit is defective.
Any ideas ?

I'm not sure why it was stuck, maybe a gear got dirt in it, or something.
The other thing to try, is unplugging it, and plugging it back in. It may be out of sync.
For sure, it should work perfectly while in ACC mode, and not need to be unlocked to work perfectly.
As you know, don't start the car or it will get locked, then you own it!
If those 2 things above don't work, then I would classify it as a defective unit. Send it back to the seller.
Good luck.

That actually happened to mine as well. I was able to pry it open, and from that time forward, it has always worked as intended.

Yes I have tried all that with no avail, and did not want to put too much pressure on the door and break something. Case started with Ebay.
