When it comes to window tint what type did you use and how much was it?

On my c5 I had ceramic tint installed 15% on side and back window and 50% on front windshield. Price was 275 for regular tint it would have been like 180. The ceramic tint is supposed to block out more infrared light/heat.
Good luck with your choice!

Personally, I find tint on the back window a pita. Looking through the rear view mirror, the tint seems to be exaggerated by the slope of the window and it also interferes with the automatic dimming function. Backing up the driveway at night becomes almost impossible. Still trying to find a glass shop I can trust to remove it without damaging the defrost.

Llumar ceramic, 35%, perfect. Can still see the interior from the outside and the ceramic blocks a lot of the harmful sun stuff.

Default Thanks all

thanks all, but psp6158, I have heard that tint is great and good to hear about the 35% but can I ask how much you paid? I ask because I think the place I went to get a quote is trying to screw me on price. Thanks again!

I don't recall the brand name of the tint, but I got the best tint the shop had to offer, and paid $250 for both sides and rear window.

FYI, no recommendations on brands but if you live in a "rural" town where nighttime lights are few and far between think very hard about going really dark if you drive at nite.
I went Arizona legal which I believe they said was 35% ? And even at that, driving at nite is difficult when making turns onto any street or driveway.
I paid $300 for all with lifetime warranty, and its plenty dark for me giving where we live
