Default Cam and headers

I put my C6 in the shop for a cam, headers, lifters, push rods, new harmonic balancer, belts, hoses, plugs plug wires then trans and diff. oil change and dyno tune last week. Got a call today to come pick it up.

Decided to clean and wash out the garage first. While cleaning I heard a hissing noise from water closet. Sure enough water heater was going out. Plumber is here now to install new water heater, gas line, and circulation pump.

So I was expecting a 3K vette bill and now added a 1K plumber bill. Kind of a real buzz kill to what was going to be a really good day.

Just proves...Stuff happens.

I know how you feel. A few weeks ago I had my compressor go out on my A/C, about three hours after putting my new wheels on. It's always something

We have an over-abundance of speed shops in both the Dallas and Houston areas. Competition for business is tough, so costs are adjusted accordingly.

That is very cheap. Wow!!! I'm going to pay double that for my setup when I do it.

Sounds about $3k too cheap. Was it free labor or really cheap parts?

Hope it works out for ya though.

They did not mark up parts just as listed on web. Kooks headers were used dyno was 500 and rest is labor. Total was $3207.00 with taxes. Oh and cash in hand is a good negotiating tool as well.

Kook, BTR stage 2 kit lifters and push rods, mustang dyno, Hp tuner I believe.

When I was house hunting in Texas a few years ago, it seemed to me that property taxes made up for not having state taxes. JMHO

When I was looking there, the property taxes were in the 2%+ range, meaning that the taxes on a $200K house were about the same as my $600K house in CA. JMHO.

I guess that depends on where you live. I certainly did not pay that much on my house; not even close.

Funny thing though, I'm looking to move not far from where you are now.
