Default Who's planning on a C7?

I know this will be a spirited conversation, but I wondered how many of you will have a C7 as their next vette? I've been going back and forth with some additional mods on my base C6 or moving to a GS C6, as I do like the wide body look and frankly the unique name the GS carries. That said, as I price out lower miles GS models, I find that for another $10k I'm in a base C7. Don't get me wrong, another $10k is a lot of money for a weekend car, but the C7 thought is tempting. I haven't driven one but might so. What are you guys planning for your next purchase?

Would never buy a C7, couldn't stand them from day one and yes I have drove two of them. I'll keep my 2013 GS that I bought new, thank you.

.....the new Corvette does not move me to want....... I think they are ok and glad they are selling a lot of them......but nothing about them says....I gotta get me one of those.....

When I saw the C6's especially the Z06 and then the Grand Sport.....I said to myself now I gotta have one of those and so I do........ but never say never is what I always say......

I tried and then I tried again to like the C7. The interior is just too cramped. Can't compare to my C6. Exterior is ok by me but......I still LOVE my little old base '08.

I had the option to go to a C7 recently and did not jump on it. I like how the car looks but it is honestly too small for my height.

I'm not planning on it, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. I'm not always a fan of the looks of the C7 in general, but I do find the new C7 GS more appealing than the base Stingray and the overall looks have grown on me a little. I was in the same situation as you when I was looking at low mileage C6 GS's last fall. I thought for a little more I could get a almost new or new C7. But I just didn't like the car enough to justify the expense and to seriously consider it at the time.

I'm deadended on this C6. Only bought it as a learning laboratory. Learning just about done and I will likely head in a different direction. Not bashing Corvettes. They're cool cars.

Not unless they do a dramatic re-styling of the rear end. I can't imagine opening up the garage and looking at that every day.

...and that's exactly why I'm in a C7 today.

I did the same research and after negotiating with a local dealer, I stepped into a new '16 Z51 3LT and spent about $10K or so more than I would have on a '13, low-mileage GS. All things considered, it was, for me anyway, a no-brainer.

What didn't you like about the C7 Sky High, besides the rear end?

When I first saw them and drove a few, I started thinking I would make the move. I like them as much as a C6. As time went on, I decided to keep my C6. I'm kinda curious to see what the next generation holds at this point.

I'm still in love with my 2013 C6 427 Convertible. Never really warmed up to the C7 looks - especially the rear end. I still mistake them for a Pontiac when approaching at a distance from the rear. Maybe the C8 will be better.

Sounds like total nonsense to me. A low mileage '13 GS will set you back about $38-39k. So that means you paid $48-49k for a new '16 Z51 3LT. BS.

The interior is nothing to speak about, I don't like the star wars dashboard, the car does not have smooth lines and if you closed your eyes you wouldn't know if you were driving a C6 or a C7. To me it is not what a Corvette should look like and doesn't follow the Corvette styling. Granted THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.

Maybe now they are in the $38-39K range, but when I was looking last summer, a low mileage '13 GS fully equipped was in the $45-$49K+ price range, at least out here on the West Coast.

I don't think I will ever have one. I'm getting on in years, so I think the C6 will be it.

I kept my C6 and added a 2017 Z06 coupe. No regrets. The Z is a monster with a warranty. The C6 is no slouch, either. I added a Vortech V2 to the C6 right after the warranty expired.

I'm thinking a used '16 is in my future in a couple of years. Love the C6 but I want the technology. Plus the rear end never bothered me on the C7 and I like the front end. It may not look better to some but it is a better car or GM would have NEVER built it.
