Default Wednesday we meet for lunch.

This is from today. One by one we're ditching street rods and hot rods, and moving to Corvettes.

Does your group of guys actually look at the other Corvettes and talk about what you have done to them ??
I have done quite a lot of things to mine (small things) but when I go to our little cars & coffee everyone just parks and starts bs'ing about this or that, never looking at each others cars to see what's been done lately or ever I try to notice everything different from OEM, but seems its only me.
How's Mexifornia & old MoonBeam treating you

LOL.....you say "ditching" our hot rods and street rods as though they are not worthy. While of course there are some people that are strictly devoted to their one model of ride, I for one will always appreciate all the hot rods and street rods that are out there just as much as I appreciate my beloved Corvette.......

The last two who sold their hotrods bought new 2016 C7's. They have made a few changes to theirs but I've only changed wheels and installed axel back Corsa Sport exhaust.

I'm getting fed up with California and Moon Beam. The last gas tax ballot initiative failed and the democrat legislature changed it from a tax to a fee and implemented an additional 12 cents a gallon for gasoline. No voter approval needed for a fee. They also passed an increase in vehicle registration fees. It's hard to believe voters re elected that idiot.

The wife and I are seriously considering selling and moving to Cave Creek, AZ. One of my daughters moved there last Feb. We visited her Easter weekend and really love the area. It is a little overwhelming thinking of moving at our age though.

We all were fed up with spending money on old cars. They were all real nice builds but there was always something to fix. They were not as enjoyable to drive as Vettes are.

Also, old cars with late model engines and running gear aren't safe on the road at todays speeds in Southern California traffic.

Watch the video to see what I mean.

Don't get me wrong, I love ole rides and have had my share but to make them actually comfortable to drive they have to have a lot of $$$ spent on them. Now I prefer the Vette
As for Mexifornia I dont see it getting any better, the liberals have a strangle hold on it so they can have it. We've been here 15 years now and I would never go back, NEVER. I use to love it being born there but it has changed so much
Arizona isn't perfect but what state is huh?

I don't think anyone will dispute that fact that newere cars aren't safer and/or more comfy. But then thats really not what hot rodding is all about. Comparing a newer Corvette with a 32 coupe is like comparing a.....well.....32 coupe to a new vette. If i'm driving across state then of course i'll drive the vette, but if i'm driving across town to any car show whether it be for new or old, then i'll take the 32 any day, and i've been a corvette lover and owner for over 40 years.....
